hmmm was always told German, no idea on father's side. On discovering with my mom her side of the family, amazed to find out I was English, now the hard part is family was told to be Czech/Slovakian however they left in the 1800's during the Austrian-Hungarian empire of area and during the forced Magyarization of area..so I could be Czech, Slovakian or Hungarian depending on era.

I could also be French considering the "English" part of family had the name of Rozier/Rosher which is a French Huguenot name.

I really don't know for certain...been told French and Irish. I'd love to send a DNA sample off and get it tested, just to know.
Had mine tested. The company is called 23andMe,. They send you a kit and then they send you back your genetric ancestry across the world.

It's quite hard to get to the bottom of it, as there was so much movement in Europe a couple of hundred years ago. I mean, honestly, even Germay wasn't anything near Germany before 1871. There were all those little pick and mix boroughs ^^

Dutch mother and Chinese father. Dinner time was always interesting.

I bet! Hundreds of moons ago, I ate at a Cuban-Chinese restaurant in the Bronx -- best food ever!
