took it down January first. holidays were good this year; it's always a bit sad when they end.0

Had to! Once the first round of house guests left Thursday we had 1 day to get the house ready for the second round of house guests. Testosterone party here today... bunch of single guys taking over my house to watch the Winter Classic hockey game. They cook (prime rib, potatoes, deep fried green beans, fresh bread, etc) AND they clean up after! Win win for me!0

Took it down yesterday but still have some other Christmas decorations up around the house.0

We took ours down new year's eve. For some reason, I just didn't want to start the new year with Christmas decorations up.0

This. Eventually I guess it has to.0 -
We took ours down (as well as all of our decorations) on the 31st. It usually stays up for way too long but with a one year old, it had to go away, lol.0

I'm undecorating it today, but I don't want to.
My fiance proposed with an ornament (it was so cute and sweet and unexpected) and I don't want to see it go away yet!0 -
Took it down last night, along with other Christmas decorations. We will take the outside lights down on a warmer day, just too windy and cold today.0

Hopefully ours will be coming down tomorrow as that's when the little one goes back to school. No point keeping it up now the xmas holidays are over for him.0

I agree! Took mine down on the 31st.:frown:0 -
Ours is still up. I need to find the motivation to take it down. It makes a really nice night light in the dark corner of our living room, I might just leave it and put Valentine's Day decorations on it! Then Easter..and so on0

Haha - the longest I ever left the tree up was until some time in March - the year I was a surgical intern. It was REALLY brown by then!!0 -
I would, but MFP keeps stealing all my time.0

My boyfriend and I went to his grandparents for christmas so sadly i didn't put up a tree this year, but I did go shopping and got some great goodies for next years tree. My mom gave me a cute idea , keep tree up all year and change out the deco, lol. Hearts for valentines day, bunnies for easter little pregnant people for labor day. LOL now to get my boyfriend on the train lol0

Nope. I love the holidays and want to keep the tree up for however long it will stay fresh.0
-
Yesterday. I didn't want it still up when the kids went back to school, which is tomorrow. Hurray!!!!0
-
Funny you should ask .. since I did not get it up and decorated until the 20th, I figured that I would leave it up a little longer. Will come down over the next couple days.0
-
took all my christmas decorations down inside and out the day after christmas but they had been up since day after thanksgiving so I was really tired of it by then.0
-
I took it down on the 27th. I like to start the New Year off with everything organized and clean.... nothing left over from 2011. (Yes, I am clearly a 'Type A' personality.)0
-
Mine will come down after the 12th day of christmas....0
-
Mine came down the day after Christmas, I usually leave it up until after New Years but I am notorious for leaving it up well into January. I thought I'd be proactive this year!0
-
Down on Dec 28th!0

No tree this year as I was out of town celebrating with my parents while my BF stayed behind and he didn't want to 'deal' with it.
I have things on my fireplace I need to put away tonight and the outside stuff will have to wait until things dry out. It was 40mph winds and rain yesterday and today it snowed an inch of snow. The good day to do it was Sat but we both worked and came home to darkness so one of our days off it will happen!0 -
Mine came down today. They HAVE to be down and away before the 6th January or you get bad luck all year!!!!!0
