Y mi palabra es la ley
    No tengo trono ni reina
    Ni nadie que me comprenda

The motto of my home state is "Ad Astra Per Aspera," or "To the stars, through difficulties," which I have always loved. And I also love sci-fi, so the "star" reference fits.
The "47" is a reference to Star Trek's Magic Number. Every episode of Star Trek that was ever made, in every Star Trek series, has the number 47 somewhere in it: stuck randomly in the flashing numbers on a monitor, or inserted into the stardate, or something. One of the rules of the Star Trek drinking game is to drink when you see the 47. I keep hoping that my life will turn into a sci-fi adventure, so I include the 47 in hopes that this will encourage the Great Bird of the Galaxy to bring me a spaceship full of aliens.

Plus, I think the name "OMGwhatadork" was already taken.

    ChichiDiva!!

At 6, I was singing, dancing and acting in any play I could at school! So my family began seeing me as a diva!
Some years later, I became a stylish and fashionable freak!! Plus my middle name starts with a "C." They called me 'Chichi'

(I still sing and have remained a fashionista. Thank God! All my friends...and almost everyone...have called me chichi diva for too long, I have to sometimes remind them of my first name...)

I took the first initial of my son's middle names, B & E. And the first four letters of his last name, GOOD. I have use Begood ever since I started using the internet a long time ago. I had to add the 03 on here because Begood was taken.
  • It's my first name and combined into something I hope to have during this journey. The number was a requirement b/c the name had been used before, apparently.

I'm so dating myself, but it was part of an old CB handle back when I was little, and my dad would bring up my grandfather on the CB when we got close to his house. (It was a 13 hour trip.)

I recently changed mine. I needed a fresh start and my old username no longer applied as I am no longer a "new austinite". I've been living here almost 2 years now.

I chose my new one because I'm tall and am called amazon frequently. (5'9) Funny thing is I read in a thread for the tall ladies here on MFP and they don't like the nickname amazon but I don't mind it. People seem to like my tallness and it's been "growing" (hehe) on me since turning 30.

Plus, if I was a luchadora, La Amazona would totally be my stage name!!

    wave143j

I was a hospital corpsman in the Navy and in the old days they used to call Navy nurses "waves" which I liked better than "doc" like I was called. 143 is the geeky little way my husband used to sign his letters to me when we were dating to say I love you. J is for Jeff, my husband of 16 years. Hence wave143j.

Hoppy refers to the nickname given to me by my friends in junior high. It is in reference to my last name at the time. (no, you don't get to know it  ) I am a mom and that is the thing that I have excelled at the most in my life. I figured as if I could be successful in the hardest task ever assigned to a human than maybe I could use that as an inspiration to succeed here. I want my kids to be completely proud of me when they go out in public with me.
