5' 8" Whats your goal weight?

Just wondering any ladies (or men!) that are on the taller than average side... havent figured what my GOAL weight is...
Im currently just under 168.. im seeing 140pounds as a good starting point tho

I'm just a hair shy of 5' 8". My goal is 138, I'm at 142 right now.0

I am 5'7"+ a little. My start weight was 167. My first goal weight was 150, then 145, then 140, and finally 135. I think that baby steps work better - so you can reach a goal and make a new goal to work towards! Also, it is hard to know what your goal should be because of bone density, muscle weight, etc.0

I am just over 5'9" and my current goal is 160. I have a muscular frame so my weight is always a little higher then it looks like. I think that my final weight goal may be 155.0

I'm 5' 9" and want to be 150 but not so worried about it. I am lifting heavy and am more impressed with the inches flying off! Loving how muscles look and my new strength. Keep on keeping on! CW is 161 and I am in a size 8 pants, so pretty cool!0

Age plays into it too, I think! I'm 47 years old and just over 5'8" with a goal weight of 155.
In my teens, 20s and 30s, I was 131. After having 2 kids, I was happy at 145 or 150. Now, in menapause, my weight has climbed up to 170 so I am shooting for 155. And I find, that if I work out regularly and eat right, that 155 is solid muscle and I am very happy at that weight in a large size 8 or a small size 10. (Now I'm a large size 12)0 -

I'm 5'8 and I weigh 140 right now, fluctuate between 137 and 142. That's a good weight for me, personally, and very healthy but I don't think anybody would describe me as "skinny." And, I might add, I like it that way! It depends so much on your frame, though. I'm fairly small boned for my height so 140 for me might look different than 140 for you even though we are the same height.0

I'm also 5'8 my starting weight was 155 and I aimed for 140lbs, once I got there after about 7 months I decided to lose a bit more to give me "wiggle room" my weight is now between 130 and 133lb which I am very happy with.0

Same with me, I am 5'6.75 and I currently weigh 194 (SW 208). I have pics of myself at 179 and I look great. My goal is 157 but I think if I start to look unhealthy I will stop at 165 or so.0 -

Well, this is the first week of my diet.. So far so good. I started at 202 and have set 175 as my goal. I am 5'9". My target date is my daughter's wedding in July. I don't want to embarrass her by having a fat father walk her down the aisle.0

Right now my goal is 150. There was a time at 5'8" I was 145 and it was ideal, but to get to 150 I need to lose 40 pounds. I see that as my realistic goal right now.0

5'8.5 - Currently 164. I have a big frame, at 140 I would be very low BF. Not sure if I can get to that and maintain it but probably 150 ish is my goal. Everyone thinks I weigh 130-140 already lol.0

I'm 5'7" ish and I was shooting for 160 but now that I'm 185 I think I'm going to go more for 150. Ultimately I'm more concerned with body composition than weight though so any weight that isn't flabby is good with me0

I am just shy of 5'8" and started at 175 with a goal weight of 145. I am pear shaped and currently 148 and a size 6/8. Anything 140 and below makes me look too skinny.0

I'm just under 5' 8" and my ideal weight is 125-130. I'm currently at 135. I'm pretty slimly (and boyishly) built so over 140 and I have a pronounced "spare tire".0

im 5' 7" and tipped the scales at 300 at one time in my life.. been up and down since those days except the last two years i finally figured it out.. after losing 90 and then gaining up to 270 i wound up losing 80lbs in the last two years.. id like to get down to 16-170 .. once i hit 170 ill see where im at to make any further decisions.. i lift weights alot so i have no clue what my stats are going to be like when i reach 1700

I'm 5'8" and currently weigh 137. I started on MFP at about 155. My lowest weight has been 135. I thought my ideal/goal weight would be 130, but my body is telling me otherwise. I really think I'm at my ideal weight right now and I'm working on maintaining and building more muscle and lowering my BF%. Best of luck. I truly think that your ideal weight is what you and your body feel comfortable with.0

My initial goal is 165. After I get there I will decide if I want to try to go lower.
11 years ago I averaged 155 or so, and I was pretty thin. I, at one point, weighed 145 - that was really thin for me. I have broad shoulders and hips, and even at 150 wore a size 12 pants.0 -
I am just over 5'8" and cw is 165. I would like to hit and maintain 150. Ideally I'd like to maintain 145, however I don't have a particularly small frame. I have a fairly muscular build and it is difficult for me to maintain that weight.0

I am 5'8" and 41 years old. Age definitely plays a role in my weight. I won't ever be my weight at age 21 yrs old again.
I started this weight loss journey 3.5 weeks ago at 200lbs. I have lost 7lbs in this past 3.5 weeks. Darn Christmas!
My goal weight is 150lbs. I would be so happy and slender at that weight. Plus I could maintain that weight which is the ultimate goal.0
