GO ME!!! I just took off to start my running/training - for my first 10K this summer....first time I ran since June 2010 (when I got pregnant)....and I went out there and ran 2.1 miles in 21 minutes....that means I ran at 7 thousand feet...a 15 minute mile and a half (Air Force PT test is 1.5 miles...) I think thats pretty darn good for not running in so long!! Also went a total of 2.74 miles with warm up and cool down! I'M DOING THIS!!!! WOOO HOOO!! PS. My new shoes ROCK!! I also burned 356 calories!!! Love the Nike+

Honestly about a month ago I was sitting on my couch in tears to a friend on how miserable I was....today I am actually EXCITED to be on this journey!!! I just really hope all this does help! I am afraid to weigh myself on Monday....so far Im only down a pound :(

    Anyway....IM DOING THIS!!!!

    This weeks results!

First I want to thank all of you who sent me prayers and support for my boxer. We did end up having to put her to rest Thursday morning. She's in a better place with no more pain and discomfort. I feel we did the best thing for her by letting her go. <sigh> That being said, I think I did ok under the circumstances with my eating.

Drum roll please..... Lol. I lost 3 pounds!

So Kristen here are my results for ths week.

    Good Saturday Morning. :flowerforyou:
I went to the Dr. yesterday because I have been pretty depressed and had some not so nice thoughts lately...anxiety while driving making me pull over and I just feel like I'm being closed in a tight space if it makes any sense? I haven't seen a Dr. in a few years due to no medical insurance...and before I was denied medical insurance 2 years ago I was on Pristiq 150mg for depression and high blood pressure meds. Well...of course when you can't afford those meds or the Dr. visits you just don't go and don't take anything. I contribute a lot of my weight to the anxiety/stress/depression I suffer. SO...I was granted insurance for a month (medicare) until my other insurance (blue cross blue shield) kicks in...and have been getting things taken care of in hopes this will also help my weight.

Look...I'm all for thinking positive (I read the bible daily and watch Joyce Meyer all the time) but when you have a mental imbalance it really doesn't matter how positive you think it always "sneaks" up on you and attacks when you least expect it. I would have awesome days...and I felt wonderful!!! But then a few days later I would be attacked with a very negative thought or would start crying out of nowhere and couldn't stop! The point is though...I'm getting help...getting back on the Pristiq and starting tomorrow I'm hoping this is a slow but sure step to recovery on these moods I've been having.

I thought I would share this because I know I'm not the only one that suffers from these bouts of anxiety attacks or depression. It really DOES have a lot to do with your weight loss too...stress has always been a huge factor in our weight loss successes or failures. The pill of course isn't a "cure" all...but it will help lower some of the suicidal thoughts I would get after thinking I wasn't good enough, or pretty enough...or skinny enough. Loving yourself is key, and I just want to be there one day. :ohwell:

    Happy Saturday gang.

I have a dear friend who out of the blue like 5 years ago just got this way! It was so hard! For 3 years she was a diff person! The last 2 years have been awesome...but something happened and the last several weeks she's back to the hard times! It's definitely not easy for her or anyone who loves her!! Praying for you right now!

Hello Everyone! I'm NOT looking forward to weighing in tomorrow morning! I have been eating well, always under my cals, working out every single day, and I weighted myself this morning and nothing. Half way thru the week I was down a pound. I know we fluctuate daily...but as hard as I've been working I thot for sure Id see a difference! Hoping tomorrow I'm shocked!

Anyway...I ran again today 2.5 miles...and I walked 1.5 miles...oh and 30DS. Yay! But my problem is I can barely walk. Not from today...but I was perfectly fine yesterday and this morning. 5 min before I run this morning my foot/ankle - like directly behind my ankle bone...and my outside of my foot ... Sharpppp miserable pain! I suffered thru my run...I did great on the shred but couldn't do the butt kicks (funny I pulled my muscle on my other leg on the butt kicks) I modified the butt kicks all that and was fine. But later I went to go walk with my girls after dinner and almost didn't make it a quarter mile. I had tears in my eyes and told my 8 year old I had to go back. But then we didn't. I pushed thru and it got a little better and we went 1.5 miles. Tonighy I iced it for quite awhile. I'm not sure what in the world is going on. I do have arthritis but this feels different. It's such a sharp miserable pain!!

I'm mad cuz I keep getting hurt and I'm on a mission! I'm feeling good other wise and stayin VERY positive...but I don't want to keep hurting myself. Now my calf muscle was stupidity. Not wearing shoes for the 30ds.

Anyway I'm just rambling. You will find I do that a lot!

Goodnight...here's to tomorrow's weigh in! Eeks!

I like this week's loss, even though today I am up a bit from a low a couple of days ago. So glad this challenge is on! I liked the challenges--they also helped to change things up a bit and helped me to stay focused.

Kathy....I am so sorry about your dog. It's such a loss.

Looking forward to staying on track this week.
