Electrolytes / refuelling

I'm attending an ice hockey training camp this weekend, and due to the time spent on the ice, and the nature of wearing LOTS of padding on a 'not really that cold' ice rink (oh, and the intense activity) you tend to lose a lot of liquid.

In a general game situation, I would just use water, or maybe Gatorade as it's a relatively short space of time, but this is going to be all day, for 2 days.

Has anyone found any cheap ways of refuelling and renourishing their bodies for intense and prolonged activity? (Home made flapjacks or shakes etc?)

Thanks

Mark

    Big dinner the night before.
  • Goes without saying.. (exercise or not)

but with 5/6 hours time on the ice, I need something to refuel during the day. Just looking for alternatives to the expensive SIS supplements etc.
