I have heard so many good things about Grand Torino but I have not seen it yet. Can someone tell me what it's about (without giving too much away) so I can decide if I want to see it or not. I love Clint Eastwood.

    Memaw

"Walt Kowalski is a widower who holds onto his prejudices despite the changes in his Michigan neighborhood and the world around him. Kowalski is a grumpy, tough-minded, unhappy an old man, who can't get along with either his kids or his neighbors, a Korean War veteran whose prize possession is a 1972 Gran Torino he keeps in mint condition."

It's a REALLY good movie.. if you don't mind all the racial slurs he uses...

I really wonder what kind of politically correct liberal hater wrote that description of the movie.....

(why oh why don't we have an eye-rolling smiley?!)

My favorite movie of all time is "Natural Born Killers". Everyone always gives me that blank, vacant stare when I say it's the best love story ever.

    I feel you.

    have you seen True Romance?
definitely in that same flavor... my #1 favorite ever.

once it got to the point, it was much better, but I was having a REALLY hard time sticking with it through like 20 minutes of...where is everybody?

oh yes Fifth Element- super good!

I had a rough time with Watchmen, because I wasn't prepared for a massive blue penis staring at me throughout the movie. I just could not think of WHY??? he had on a little bikini brief for part of the movie, why did they need him to be naked at some times and clothed at other times? :blushing:

Donnie Darko has an aweseom sound track for starters. It's basically a "what if" type of movie with a 6' Rabbit that travels through time. Kinda of hard to tell you more about the movie without giving it away sorry to be so vague. I'm waiting for the lastest one to be shipped out via netflix.

    Isn't Netflix Awesome.
