Registered nurse in a nursing home. I don't think people realize how much you move during a 12 hour shift. The down side is working 12 hours kills you opportunity to work out on the days you work.
  • Director of Special Events at a non profit that provides services to men and women with special needs.....and, a mommy of two:)
I am truly blessed to LOVE both of my jobs!

I'm a human resource manager. I mostly sit at my desk all day unless I'm running to the door to see who came in because we don't have a receptionist. Every once in a while I go our yards (I work for a concrete company) and I do some walking there, but that is super rare.

I build websites, so a desk job. Ugh. My hubby and I also do that as a side business and are all-around geeks so we can spend a lot of time in front of computers during a given week.

I am a clinical pharmacy specialist working in ambulatory care. Basically, I spend my days helping patients manage their diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol. They are consulted to me by their doctor for more involved care.

I work outside all day with cars at an auto auction. When the weather is good it is a great job.

I use to do that when my first daughter was born it was the best job EVER, it only sucked when it rained,

I work a desk job as well - but unfortunately, it's not always as simple as 9-5. I have to be available when my clients are available - so my schedule can get really hectic. It changes on a daily basis. And when my work schedule is hectic, my whole life gets hectic - making it really difficult to master a workout plan. And when I am working - I'm sitting! It's hard for me to stay motivated if I don't have a clear-cut plan. But that's why I joined MFP. Being able to track my efforts any time and reading the challenges and successes of others will be a big help! I added you as a friend

In other words a lot of sitting on my butt in front of a computer working from home or in a client office. Found time to workout by getting up at 5 am workout then tend to emails etc after. Four kids at home so lots of mouths to feed.

Do IT work for 8 specialty-specific clincs. I'm usually on the run...except for days like this when it's less than 20 degrees (all my clinics are in a different building) ha ha :)
