This thread is not helping!!0 -
This is such a great thread! I'm loving all these puddy-tat pics. ♥0

These were my two favorite boys. Max and Tyler. Both were about 18 at the time of this picture. The owner brought them in to be put to sleep. I couldn't do it because they were healthy, just old. I found a home for them together and last I knew they were doing great!

Awww... what a cute thread...
Here's my new kitty, Lucy... she is just under a year old...
She showed up on the doorstep a few weeks before my little 22-year-old cat passed away... I guess I was meant to have her. Here's my 22-year-old cat I've had since I was 11... she just died this past September...

This is JiJi. This isn't my own kitty, he belongs to JaeJoong Kim ^^ But I think he's SOOOO adorable!
He has purple paws! That confuses me.
He is adorable, though .
They're called soft paws
It's a more cat friendly alternative to declawing. Basically, you put the little caps (that do not hurt) on their nails! They fall off and you replace them.
All of my cats have them.0 -
trying again, pic of my kitty Skeeeter with the lioncut. She looks like a magical, mythical creature. And I think she likes the haircut too, because she she sort of prances around when she had it. And, this might be projection, but if you have to clean yourself with your tongue, less hair is better

This is Sklyar, I found him on my porch last year when it was -3 degrees outside. He is now the love of my life. Unfortunately he is FIV+, but we are making sure he stays healthy so he can live just as long as any other cat. Ps. he is missing some teeth and that is why his tongue sticks out =]0 -
Right-click on the photo you want to post and open it in a separate window or tab. Copy the URL of that window, then paste it in a post. For example, here's the URL of one of my profile pictures:
http://photos.myfitnesspalllc.netdna-cdn.com/images/photos/261/869/261869_9974.jpg
That's what it looks like if you post just the link. If you want to post the actual photo, add directly after the link, except the IMG needs to be lowercase. If you do it uppercase, it will look like this:

Well, since everyone else is doing it...

My aunt emailed me this joke a few years ago. I about fell out of the chair laughing, and I figured you guys would get a good laugh too..
HOW TO GIVE A CAT A PILL
1. Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.
4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm, holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Gently force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.
8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans; drink one beer to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and mild soap.
10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard, and close door on neck, to leave head showing. Gently force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with an elastic band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer. Fetch bottle of scotch. Pour shot, drink. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw Tee shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
12. Call fire department to retrieve the damn cat from across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie the little *kitten*'s front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table. Find heavy-duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of filet steak. Be rough about it if necessary. Hold head vertically and pour two pints of water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Consume remainder of scotch. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.
15. Arrange for SPCA to collect the "mutant cat from hell" and call local pet shop to see if they have any really small hamsters.

My big baby is named Johnson. My ex-bf and I made a deal that I could have a cat if he could name it, hence "Johnson." Haha!
Here he is as a kitten! He was only one pound when we got him from the shelter:
He LOVES looking out the windows. I love this picture of him!
He's three and a half now and weighs just under 14 pounds. The vet says he's just a big boy and not overweight!
His name fits because he's not very nice, but I still love him!0 -
Hi, all! There are some seriously adorable felines on this board!
I have two cats who live with me, Laelah and Emilee. They're four years old, from the same litter, and a Maine Coon mix (mom was part MC).
Emilee is lazy, fat, and covered in gray, messy fur, but happy. She loves to sleep while being held like a human infant. She has some serious 80's Hair Metal-esque wings on the side of her head.
Laelah is far more energetic. As the foodie (Trying to make or eat food near her involves fighting off a gray, fluffy ninja), she's surprisingly the slimmer of the two. She's a talker. She's obsessed with my honey so much that, when he goes to bed, she sleeps under the bed. If he gets up during the night to go to the bathroom, she'll get up and follow him until he's back in bed (and she's back under it).
Slick is my mom's cat. We thought he was a stray (and so did all the neighbors we spoke with). He was the sweetest cat, so, when the windchills hit -25 degrees F, I took him in the house and he never left her place. Oops, it turned out that one of the few neighbors we didn't speak with was his "owner". She stopped by Mom's one day to say she thought her cat was looking out our window. She let us keep him.
He is also 4 years old, but he has all the energy and flexability of a kitten. If he's hyper, God help anyone who gets in his way when he's flipping, diving, racing, or whateve. He makes me smile all the time...partly, because he's a perv who likes to flash his wares.

I can't hug every cat.
I want them in basket and little bow ties.0
