Do you have a top 10 list of foods to help you stay on track? I read a blog recently that did this, and it was a good resource to find out what works for others! I am just re-starting, so I'm using what has worked for me in the past - and I hope will work now!
Here's mine:
10. Simply Good Food's frozen steel cut oatmeal (sold at Costco). Easy to prepare, filling, and yummy for breakfast! Really lasts until lunch.
9. Popcorn - I can eat a lot, so it helps when I'm in a snacky mood, and it's salty and crunchy.
8. Homemade smoothies - I can control the calories, but it seems like a treat. Very filling too.
7. Eggs - Another filling breakfast. I usually mix one egg with 2 egg whites and scramble. Lasts and is warm and comforting. Also use it to make breakfast tacos with turkey bacon.
6. Special K (strawberry or chocolate) - I will have this with 1/2 c of milk when I need something sweet/filling.
5. Sparkling water - cuts the craving for diet soda, which I'm trying to avoid. Love the bubbles! I buy the store brand with lime or lemon flavor added (not sweetened).
4. Skinny Cow Ice cream sandwiches - no explanation necessary!
3. Turkey Pepperoni - not the healthiest sodium-wise, but they give a nice kick to crackers and laughing cow cheese for just a few added calories.
2. Laughing Cow Cheese wedges - pair with 100 cal crackers for a good snack!
1. Blended vegetable soup - I have a recipe I love and I keep it on hand. It's creamy and warm and takes the edge off hunger before meals.
