I'm right there with you... 31, 5'5, 232... I'm hoping to lose btwn 80-90 lbs overall (started arnd 235), but I am measuring by smaller goals so it's not so intimidating. My current goal is lose 10 lbs by Valentine's Day. I'm trying to pick "mile markers" each month, for example Feb has Valentine's day, March is my daughter's bday, April Spring Break, etc... I'm hoping that works for me and keeps me from getting too overwhelmed... Feel free to add me!0

Wow, it is so much fun seeing sooooo many people with the same or just about the same goal on here.... I am 5'7 weigh 231 (235 before I started MFP) Feel free to add me if you are looking for friends to take down the road with you :happy:0

Count me in. I'm 5'10" and was at 272.8 just after New Years and have lost almost 7 and joined a gym this week.
I've gained so much in the last two years from depression / emotional eating. Very long story. Looking forward to losing with all of you.

Hi, I also would like to be added to this group. I am 53, 5'2'' and weigh 231. I also think we should break it down. My big goal is 30 lbs. by May 30th. But I am working in 10 lbs. increments. I have been wanting to purchase a Kindle Fire, so I have put that as my 10lb lost gift to myself. I have been using MFP for quite awhile but I just used the phone app. so I did not realize what a community support it has.0

80 lbs is my goal weight for the year. Once I meet it, I want to evaluate what is left to lose and what cannot be lossed. I started at 411 lbs. Currently holding at 270.0

ksm5---What an accomplishment! I'm positive you'll meet your goal for this year.0

My name is Carrie. I'm 27, about 225lbs. I'm looking to lose between 70 and 80lbs! I really hope I can do this, and with this site, I'm sure I can! Anyone and everyone feel free to add me!0

You go girl! That's amazing!0

Yup, 42 5'3 and round about 245. I'll be happy if I can reach 180 by New Years0

jaks97---I have simply watched my calories and logged every bite I eat. When I started this I couldn't walk for more than 5-10min without having to stop and I wasn't even walking 2mph. I walk on a regular basis and can walk 4+miles at a 3-4mph rate. I dance and sometimes workout to some exercise dvd's I have. Tomorrow I am going to begin a mother/daughter gym membership and will begin with cardio and water aerobics. (and who know's maybe some weights)
I try not to think about how far I have to go as sometimes I can feel overwhealmed (sp). I look back on how far I've come and focus on my weight left to lose in 10lb increments.
I do try to make healthier choices on what I eat and don't eat out as much. But still eat out and sometimes eat junk food. I don't want this to be a diet I'll do for awhile and quit. (Been there, done that! And always gained back more than I'd lost) I want this to be a way of life for me...so it has to be something I can see myself doing long term.
Might not be a perfect plan, but it's mine and is subject to change as the need arises!0 -
