What do you eat when you snack?

A great big bowl of tortilla chips! When I'm dieting, I try not to snack, but to drink water when I get hungry.0
-
Popcorn, greek yogurt with fruit at the bottom, 100 cal. skinny cow bars, veggies with light dip.0
-
String cheese, low carb yogurt, sunflower seeds, mixed nuts, popcorn....I am sure there are more but that is all that I can think of for now.0

I try to snack on fruit in the morning (and I'm really favoring blackberries right now), but I also have some low-cal cheese sticks and crackers to munch on... in fact, I just had some! Other things I grab are chips and salsa (exactly the portion size on a plate and no going back for more!), oatmeal (usually another morning thing), a serving of planters mixed nuts lightly salted, or yogurt. That last one is kind of rarity for me though.
also going to be the millionth person to mention hummus- I like it with baby carrots.
And I just tried these new snap pea crisps the other day that I'm liking: they're meant to be like a salad topper, but they're baked and not fried and crunchy and look like a bean... they're tasty. Found them in a produce display, strangely enough.0 -
My snacks are: hummus on Triscuits, nuts & a cutie, rice cake with peanut butter, salsa & tortilla chips, popcorn, apple with peanut butter, string cheese, boiled eggs (whites only) or zone perfect bars (perfect for my sweet craving).0

Lots of fruit, I have an orange everyday. Low fat Cottage cheese and a bowl of fruit just about every night. Anything made by Kashi.0

Mostly fruit and vegetables. Sometimes air popped popcorn. Sometimes some nuts or trail mix. Occasionally a bowl of oatmeal. Greek yogurt. Sometimes some toast or a multigrain waffle with low fat cream cheese or peanut butter. Hardboiled eggs.0

Right now I'm eating an apple and pretending it is chocolate cake...0
-
I like a rice cake with peanut butter or some non fat yogurt with some fruit.0
-
celery or pickles.... both low cal.0
-
Almonds are very filling and popcorn is awesome too!0
-
Dried fruit, like cranberries
Homemade green tea sablé (44 cals each!)
Homemade low cal sweet treats, like orange cake, or melonpan (all recipes amended to be super low cal)
I don't really tend to snack much, unless I'm having a treat day, wherein I'll slip in a Starbucks tall drink, or a piece of deli cake. Not a big snack-guy, really, so my list is pretty short.
I tend to drink green tea as a snack, I think, more than eating something specific.0 -
homemade no sugar added applesauce, light yogurt, peanut butter(1 tbsp), string cheese, baby carrots (they are easy and somewhat sweet), oranges ( slice them and keep them in the fridge for easy access), a handful of dry plain cheerios, almonds.
when you get a craving for a snack eating 7grams of good fat will help the craving, but remember to wait 20 minutes for the effects :0) HAPPY HEALTHY EATING EVERYONE!0 -
I have to eat protein/carbs/fat at each meal (or snack) as i am hypoglycemic and I feel terrible and will fall asleep if I don't. For a fat I like either pistachios, almonds, peanut butter. For carbs a fruit or veggie. For protein a ostrim meat stick, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, turkey, chicken etc....Or a protein bar or protein smoothie. I also eat 5-6 meals per day and always feel full of energy. However, it takes a lot of planning! One of my favorites is soynuts and green grapes-salty and sweet! :bigsmile:0
