    1. My MFP membership. I know that's cheating because it's free, but I honestly do not think I'd have stuck with it this far if not for MFP.

    2. My digital food scale. I had no clue what portions really looked like. The first time I saw what the portions were supposed to look like, I couldn't believe how small they were. Now, I can't believe I used to eat as much as I used to.

    3. Accurate, digital bathroom scale.

    4. My Wii.

    5. My dance games for my Wii. (Just Dance 1, 2, and 3, and DDR 2)

    6. My HRM.

I think my best purchase for my Get Fit Journey is my Nike + sneakers, Ipod. I can not wait to get going in the morning. I love tracking how far I walked, what my pace is and how many calaries I burned. It makes me think this lifestyle change really isn't so bad.

Gym membership. 2 hours after joining I was at my goal weight lol. Seriously, I have access to so much equipment I need while I get my body back to 'normal'.

The thing that's helped me most so far was actually free -- a membership to MFP.

Me too! BY FAR!! I am actually believing that I can do this this time!

  • My bike! I struggled for years to find an exercise I liked and then I bought a bike. It's so much fun, I forget that I'm exercising.
  • My best purchases were:
    1. Food Scale
    2. Great pair of gym shoes
    3. Polar FT-40 heart rate monitor. This way I KNOW how much I burn during my work out and it's no longer a guessing game.

1.) My FoodSaver, which I've had for YEARS, but just recently started using it seriously. Now I divy up my food in single serving sizes to avoid over eating.
2.) ProduceSaver bowls. They keep my fruits & vegy's fresher & I don't waste nearly as much as I used to.
3.) My new digital scale. I find I use it just cuz it's "fun"! lol
