  • The shorter list for me would be the movies that never made me cry. ; ) On this list are:

    Anchorman
    Step Brothers
    Talladega Nights

I see a pattern here. That's probably why I LOVE Will Ferrell so much! : )

Never understood the hysteria around the Titanic. it was so predictable!!!

Agreed - that ship was never going to make it was it ?

Anyway that film had a happy ending - Leo Di Caprio drowned
  • Marley & Me

Worst part is, I've never owned a dog. I've Adopted (well, I say adopted, they belonged to my ex's parents) a couple and when one was put down, I cried..... Strange how they get you...

I totally get you. I first saw it in the theatre, and I just totally lost it. Not a dry eye in that big room, either!
  • Sophies choice, when she had to choose which one of her children had to die
  • A Walk to Remember
    Marley & Me
    The Time Travellers Wife
    The Notebook
    Toy Story 3
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire... lmfao!

    I cry at everything. D:

I cry when I watch commercials sometimes, don't even get me started on movies. The list would be far too long. I cry very easily. :-)

Phantom of The Opera - when the camera zooms in on the rose at the end. I lose it.
Frequency - when his dad saves him.
Message in A Bottle - when Dodge calls her w/the bad news.
Australia - When Nulla leaves (and I will hear you my darling)
Up Close & Personal - when she sees the video tape of him
Serendipity - When she finds him on the ice
We are Marshall - all that loss
Toy Story 3 - because my son just went to college and I have all his toys.

and because I'm the biggest cry baby in the world......

Ice Castles - at the end when the music starts. "We forgot about the flowers."

  • Australia (because when Hugh Jackman cries, I cry)

Titanic (of course) when it shows everyone in their cabins and knowing their going to die. Like the old couple laying together, the mother reading bedtime stories to her children, despite the fact that water is around them. :(

Aw yeah, that's the bit that got me when I watched it

I have several, but the first ones that popped to mind is Braveheart, Shenandoah (an old James Stewart movie, awesome movie), and The Passion of the Christ. The Way We Were with Redford and streisand also for some reason gets to me. I'm a crybaby, there, I've admitted it LOL

YES!! I was deeply in love with Robbie Benson!!
  • Oh, I cry at everything, LOL! The one that just popped into my head right now, though, is a total chick flick that I watched for the first time with my best friend when I was 14. I cried then, and I cry more now that I am a mother: Steel Magnolias! Oh, my gosh, when Sally Field's character goes ballistic after her daughter's funeral...!!

Oh, and most recently, I actually got all teary at Crazy, Stupid Love when Steve Carrell's character is out doing lawn work in the yard of his house that he no longer lives in, in the dark, spying on his separated wife and kids, when his wife calls his cell phone. He's watching her through the window as she pretends to be having trouble lighting the pilot on the furnace just to hear his voice, and he knows she is lying but just talks her through it anyway...Oh, my God. I don't know how many other people would cry at that part, but it means so much to me because of what I have been through with my husband over the many, many years we have been together in one way or another.

The first time I saw American History X, I couldn't stop crying. An hour later, and I was still crying about it. Also 'My Life' with Michael Keaton. He has terminal cancer and makes home videos for his unborn baby. I have never gotten through the whole damn movie, its too freakin' gut-wrenching!!! I tried twice and had to turn it off both times... then I gave up trying. I don' like sad movies anymore.... I stick with comedies.

(got the idea from what movie still scares you thread)

No matter how many times I watch these movies, I cry EVERY time

-Armageddon (when bruce willis says bye to his daughter on the big screen)
-My Girl ("where are his glasses? he cant see without his glasses!")
    -Castaway ("Wilson I'm sorry!!")

what movies get you guys crying like a baby no matter how many times you see them?

yep, yep, yep, and The Lion King (when Mufasa dies, obviously)

oh, and The Green Mile (I usually start crying right from the opening credits and go all the way through on this one, because i know what will happen)

There are two and only two movies that should make anyone cry:

    1. The original Champ w Ricky Schroeder and Jon Voight.

    2. Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan--the end where Spock dies. we all need a friend like Spock in our lives.

    All other arguments are invalid.
