Ladies, how many pairs of shoes do you own?

    Right now about 10. but I just took a huge box full filled with shoes I never wore to Goodwill.. there were at least 50 pairs.. so the question is not how many shoes do you own but rather how many of them do you actually need. do you wear them ? how many are just taking up space and collecting dust??

    Girls are crazy! I can't imagine owning 20-30 pairs of shoes I have never worn. I usually only purchase shoes that will be worn.

    Well in my defense... (not that I need an excuse... hehe) I do some work as a shoe and stocking model, so sometimes I'll buy something if I think it will look great being photographed.. and then I'll only wear it for photo shoots. :)

    No need to defend yourself! I find most girls are like that. A good friend of mine has over $25,000 worth of shoes and bags. To me that is INSANE!! I am far too realistic to spend that much. Plus I don't really like heels, I have wide feet, so usually they cause my feet/back to ache + blister + bleed. For a friends wedding I was forced to wear a specific shoe, and by the end of the day I had large gashes on my feet from the straps.

    I'm not a lady, but I do know exactly how many pairs of shoes I own. The answer is 14 pairs of shoes.

    soooo many shoes! soooooo many shoes! I have never counted, its too overwhelming to add them all up. but i love every-single-one-of-them!
    in the flipflop department - i have at least 20 pairs.
    just out of curiosity, many of the women on here say they only have 2 or 3 pair... and none seem to be "dress up" shoes. .... ? wouldnt you need at least one pair of something fancy?

    Oh goodness...I'm ashamed to post this...but I couple years ago my aunt was staying over my house for the holidays and I was swapping out my summer with winter shoes...she decided to count the shoe boxes because she couldn't believe how many I had...and was convinced I had a shopping problem. Then she counted 97 boxes, stopped counting and said...you need to STOP shopping...point proven (she still had more boxes to go).

    Gosh, I haven't counted....but it has to be more than 60.

    My favorite brands right now are Jeffrey Campbell and Seychelles.

    Most or them are heels, and of course the utilitarian stuff like running shoes and rain boots.

    My husband and I have a firm deal. I won't have more then 15 pairs at a time in my closet. I can buy what I want and spend what I want but the total on the shelves can't change. It was hard at first but now it's easy. If I see a pair of shoes I want ,I have to figure out quick if I like them more then anything I currently have already.

    I own well over 60 as well. I cant help myself! I love all kinds of shoes. I dont have a favorite brand either. I like style. My favorites are a plaid pair of Polo sneakers, my Steve Madden black heels that have chains running across the front of them, and my grey high heeled boots that has two buckles on the side. Love em!

    About 12 pair...sadly, as I lose weight, my shoes are getting too big...That means............NEW SHOES!!!!!!

    Husband made me get rid of a lot when we moved, i weeded out 40 pairs and probably have more than that left!! I just bought these lovelies... shoes.jpg

    I have no idea what my number is... It's alot higher than the number of pairs I actually wear regularly.

    Guess and Guess by Marciano are two of my favorites. Very well made, sturdy, comfortable.

    I also think J.Simpson has a some good shoes. However I only buy them on sale b/c I think they're poorly made. Comfortable, but don't stand to the test of time like my Guess do.

    Also Carlos Santana. Many of my guitar playing friends would kill me for saying this, but: The man should've stopped making music and started designing shoes DECADES ago. :)


    In highschool, I had well over 300 pairs of shoes and boots. Now that my paycheck supports my addiction that number has been cut by more than half.

    A BUNCH! I have an underbed plastic tub with nothing but boots, and there are 3 pairs in the closet that I wear fairly often. I have a whole dresser full of pumps, clogs, high heels, slides, and 4-5 pairs of slippers (one drawer per color). I have a rack of just sandels, a hanging bag of 8 pairs evening shoes and 5 pairs of sneakers. Then there are 3-4 pairs of flip flops by the back door. I can never have enough shoes!

    I probably have about 40 pairs of shoes/sneakers/sandals.

    Flip flops- I have a few dozen...and a few missing their mate...their fellow is lost :(

    A **** ton. I have a huge collection of shoes, probably as big as my comic book collection lol. (nah, not really) My favorite is my Minnetonka furry boots or moccasins...I love my Guess or Marc Jacobs leather boots too.

    19 shoes total.

    5 are running shoes and 2 are too small (should toss but they are special). So 12 regular shoes.

    I just got 4 new ones.

    I think I probably own about 30. I wear about six of those pairs.

    The rest are bridesmaid shoes, winter boots (using 3 x per year doesn't make them 'worn'), and that sort of thing.

    A lot of women will have a wtf moment when.i say that i only own 2 pairs of shoes!! Lol, i have about 4 pairs that are packed away that i never wear but i actually only own a pair of trainers and a pair of black heels!

    I would own a lot more if money permitted lol!!! X

    I'm right there with ya actually. I have 6. 2 are my steel toes for work (tennis shoes and boots), 2 are fitness type shoes, and the other 2 are heels.

    Would def have a lot more if I had the money. :love:

    maybe four or pairs but only one pair that I wear. Shoes are not my friend.

    My hubby counted mine about a month ago and the count was 87. He has put me on a 30 day shoe ban to see if I can actually go without buying any.......its really tough but so far so good!!

    I have 24 pairs on 2 racks, and maybe 10 in the closet, so approx: 34-35 pairs

    I own 3 pairs, uggs, boots & skate shoes, I'm a UK size 9.5 so it's incredibly hard to find shoes that fit me. I'd kill to have more choice.

    Wow I'm so happy I am not alone in my addiction (a girl can't have too many pairs of shoes!!!!) :)

    I have way over 150 pairs... I love Nine West and I am the girl who walks out of the store with 4 pairs at a time!
