Burn 5,000 calories/wk in February!! :o)

Hi all,

Some of us have been doing these challenges together since Aug./Sept. We welcome all newcomers! It is an amazing challenge and not as hard to complete as you might think. It is interesting how many more things I do now in order to meet my goal (walk an extra mile, go 10 more minutes on the elliptical, etc...) We will start this challenge on 1/30/12 and end on 2/27/12. So, we count our calories from Monday-Sunday (just like MFP). Some people post their calories burned every day (and you can too!) but I usually just post every Monday. **See example below** I can't wait to see everyone's accomplishments again next month! December Challenge

Week 1:
Monday (11/28): 741 (110 min. Doubles Tennis; 25 min. walking)
Tuesday (11/29): 1252 (100 min. (20 miles) Bicycling outside; 85 min. walking; 21 min. Circuit Training (30DS)
Wednesday (11/30): 288 (75 min. walking)
Thursday (12/01): 1297 (60 min. Pump it Up class; 60 min. Cardio HipHop class; 20 min. walking; 44 min. running (4.2 miles)
Friday (12/02): 1010 (120 min. Two Zumba classes; 9 min. running (1 mile); 21 min. walking)
Saturday (12/03): 77-REST...(and 20 min. walking dog)
Sunday (12/04): 1091 (96 min. running (9.3 miles-15K Distance Dare!)

Total for the week: 5,756 calories burned and 2 pounds lost.

    Sounds like a great challenge I shall try to do this as I never have done any weight challenges before.

  • oooo I want to do this, but am sick...too much moving around today send me into coughing fits, my nose is tender from blowing it, I keep having sneezing fits that make my eyes water too. dang!
