Addicted to Subway! :-)

Hey all,

I just thought I would share with you all my addiction to Subway and hope there are some other people who love it here too.

I have found it such a help on my journey to grab 'fast' lunches which still mean I can watch what I eat, count calories, get some protein and a load of fresh salad, (Load it up Subway, because I love ALL the salad!)

What are your favourite subs from Subway?

If I am feeling like I need a slightly bigger lunch, I will have a Chicken Pizziola wrap. A lighter lunch and I will go for a Tuna Salad bowl with the Honey Mustard dressing - delicious!

I am making myself hungry now, but I will be going to Subway for lunch! :-)

    I LOVE subway too.
Before I was trying to lose weight I would get a foot long vege delite on wheat bread with old english cheese and extra chipotle southwest sauce, yum!
But now I just get a six inch vege delite no cheese, or make it a salad :/ lol. (still have the sauce though)

Hi my name is Newf77 and I am a Subway addict. I usually have it once a week on Saturdays after I finish my twelve hour shift and am going home alone to the dogs, so many healthy choices, so little time. I must confess I have not done breakfast there yet.

I flipping LOVE Subway! They are my go-to lunch place when I don't bring anything because they are tasty, cheap, and a mile walk round trip from my office (so I get a little bit of extra exercise). I typically will get a footlong and split it up between two lunches.

I like Subway, as well! I don't eat it that often, so it's usually a "treat'

Mmm, 6-inch Subway Melt. I love getting to indulge in a little bacon.

Bacon's one of those foods where, if I were to make it at home, I would have a hard time not over-indulging ("well, no sense making a mess of a pan for 2 measly strips of bacon", "Geez, if I don't eat more, this giant pound of bacon's going to go bad")

I love Subway because I can always find something there that will fit in my calorie budget. :) Also, apple slices rock when you're on the go and need a snack.

I LOVE Subway too!! I can''t go too often because my fav BMT is loaded with calories from mayo and oil and vinegar. I have it saved as a meal so I won't buy it when I look at the calories and carbs.

Did you hear that McDonalds is not concerned about other burger joints like Wendys and Burger King? They are worried about Subway because there are healthy delicious options there.

Until I am disciplined enough to divorce the "Bigger Meatier Tasty (BMT)" with extra mayo, Subway is off limits for me.

But great post, I'm an addict too... One Day At A Time.

    Best!

I read that Subway is a threat to McD's. That means health conscious people are a growing force in this country. Thumbs up to us!

I go there too much. Way too much sodium to fit in for me on the regular. But when I do go I get 6" flatbread with egg whites, ham, swiss, tomato, spinach and avocado.

i like my sandich/wrap/salad with the chicken breast, ham, and provolone....then lots of lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, green pepper, salt and pepper. if i am feeling especially naughty, some light mayo added....so yummy and filling...

I was never a fan of Subway because it was too much bread and not nearly enough meat. But then I discovered the philly double cheese steak. It is awesome. especially on the flatbreads. And also the pizza is good too, with buffalo chicken. Haven't had either of them much in the past 8 months tho. Too many carbs. Now I will get a footlong and dont eat the bread. That way I get double protein and more salad. They charge too much for their official salads. $2 added to the sandwich price?

As sandwich shops go, Schlotzky's is so much better! But I don't even want to know what the calorie counts are there.

I love subway club sandwiches with lettuce black olives pickles amd red onion, problem is I won't go there without getting double meat, and unless you're getting a 5$ foot long they're kind of a ripoff. Plus lots of sodium compared to making your own deli meats at home!

I love Subway. I either get a Veggie Delight with all the veggies minus jalapeños, no cheese, and a dash of oil and vinegar or a Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki with all the veggies except jalapeños, provolone cheese, and a tiny amount of the teriyaki sauce. Both I get on the 9 Grain Honey Oat bread.

The best day of my life is when the 24 hour Walmart put in a Subway.

With subway not only do you get to see the staff making the sandwhiches but being able to customize your order down to the last jalapieno is such an innovative idea! It makes it easy to have a healthy lunch too, provided you go easy on the cookies and soda. Other fast food restaurants should take note!

I very rarely go to Subway, but i love it; and i have decided today, i will pick one up on my way home to keep me going before hitting the gym tonight. 6 inch Chicken Tikka is 302 calories, so it won't be a massive dent in my daily allowance. I love the fact you cans ee it being made, they aren't seceretly covering it in lard behind your back lol, and i can choose which healthy, yummy stuff i want inside. I only stick to the subs though, i tend to stay away from the cookies and naughty things!

Subway is my favorite, too. There's one close to my office so if I don't pack a lunch I go there. Lately, I've been getting a 6" ham on wheat with provolone, lots of spinach, tomatoes, green pepper and cucumber (no dressing). I keep getting coupons for 2 free cookies on my receipt but I give the coupons away right away so I am not tempted!
