Whats the best compliment you have gotten so far?

"I can't even recognise you!"
- My girlfriend when we were looking at photos 20kg's ago :D0 -
From my guy friends, while moving a table with me: "Holy *kitten*!! When did you get so ripped??"
From my gal pals: "Wow, your arms and legs have the definition I want! You look so great!"
From the boyfriend: "You are so freaking hot."
It never gets old. Ever.0 -
Strangely enough I find the compliments from strangers the best. I mean I love the words of encouragement from my SO and friends, but there's something about receiving a compliment from someone who has no reason to give it to you.
I went into the coffee shop on my way into work yesterday (I go there a few times a week for my caffeine hit) and the lady behind the counter noticed I had lost some weight and was 'looking good'. Comments like that, and from colleagues you dont work very closely with etc - they are good fuel for me
^ this. It was tough at first when I had lost 20 pounds and nobody except my wife was noticing. I suspect it was that they thought they did but didn't want to say something just in case. But when I hit 50, I just started getting compliment after compliment and it feelt awesome. But now I feel a sense of pressure to keep it off. But that is good because I just feed off that.0 -
My husband told me its starting to show that I am losing weight in my face.0

Well, not like the lucky ones, I have no husband yet. But I kinda open myself up a little on Facebook showing the difference between the 2 years ago me and the now me... People has been flooding me with compliments :P0

My brother said "you don't look my sister anymore. You look like my HALF sister!" Lmao
A guy friend of ours told me he was really happy for me, and then turned to my husband and said 'but I am REALLY happy for YOU. and ya better hang on to that sweet thing, cuz I am just waiting for my chance!" Bahaha! He's lucky that no one takes him seriously, cuz them's fighten' words!0 -
Well I have had many compliments so far! Went to a wedding on Sunday and people were coming up to me saying how fabulous I look and my curves have come back and my muscle tone in my arms is looking good.......I LOVE a GOOD COMPLIMENT!!!0

My fiance is a dj and one night I decided to hang out at the bar while he did his thing. We're new in town so I figure maybe I can meet some people. This dance club/bar is age groups of late 20's to 70's. Anyways, a man came up to me and hit on me three different times that night. By the second time he said, I didn't know you were engaged. I smiled and said yes he's the dj. He immediately left me as I giggled. Then he came back up to me and said are you sure, uh yes I'm sure. He had never seen me before but made me feel pretty damn good that I could get hit on. I still have about 35-40 pounds to lose but still made my night!0

A friend of mine a few months ago gave me the best compliment I have ever gotten in my life when he said someone your size and he ment it in a good way I have always been the heavy friend and now I am not the heavy friend any more so it made me feel good0

Best reaction so far was a gal who I have not seen in since I started working out was looking for me at a conference and literally walked right past me and asked a co-worker if he had seen me. He pointed at me, she turned around and her jaw literally just dropped open. She was genuinely shocked at the change in my appearance and just kept saying "Wow! You look so great!"
It was pretty cool. I normally don't care much about what people think about my appearance, but this still felt pretty good.0 -
Two things come to mind.....someone told me a month or so ago that they couldn't believe I was someone who was once overweight, I looked like a "skinny" person. (In truth, I was overweight for almost twenty years, and I have 10 pounds to lose still.)
Last week, one of the new employees at the gym told the trainer I was "so toned" when I check in at the front desk - that she wanted to buy some sessions so she could look like me!
A year ago, I never would have believed it.0 -
"My day really isn't complete without your fart jokes." :blushing:0
-
I was being hugged by one of my kids and they said "mom, when I hug you I can get my arms all around you and touch my hands!!!" Mind you this was coming from my 8 year old daughter, so for me that was saying alot!0

A co-worker who'd been in the USA for 8mths walked into the office chatting to my manager, I said hello, and she turned to look at me, and did a double take, stopped in the middle of a sentence and exclaimed "Holy **** you look amazing!".0
-
my ex asked me what program i was doing to look that hot...he wanted to know for his new girlfriend. Lol i do not know if he slept on the sofa that night but it felt great.0

What an awesome post. I love love the positive. I have heard some nice comments like, you're looking great. I've only lost 4 pounds so far with lots more to go. But I FEEL better. I think that's what's showing.0

I was grabbing a piece of chocolate from our PMS drawer at work, and my coworker said:
"there she goes again, the incredible shrinking woman eats chocolate and is still the smallest one of us"
Felt goooood.0 -
Someone approached me and asked me if I was a dancer It made my day!
Plus, I got to refer them to my Bar Method studio when they asked what I did to look so great if it wasn't dance.
Whooo hooo0 -
"Your boobs are getting smaller."
I am right there with you!!!! Gone from a large C to a small B:grumble:
Me too!!! My bf teases me all the time about it!!! I used to fill out my shirts and have amazing cleavage, now....not as much. Oh well, small price to pay!0 -
My fiance today told me I ran like a rocket this morning... thats the best yet.....
He compliments me every day in every way! so that one I liked alot.0 -
It's not even compliments I get from people (though I do like being told I'm tiny), but it's the lack of certain reactions that feels much better, like the fact that I can look in a designer store at $500+ dresses and not be glared at by the people working there (also hearing "you're a size 2? Well, that's an extra small in our store" and "No, I'm sorry, we don't really get a lot of size 1s in" doesn't feel bad at all)0

A lady from my morning workout class, I don't know her name and she doesn't know mine - but she came up to me after class the other day and said she saw my profile and said I was just cutting in so nicely at the hip and seat!
Its great she noticed I guess. Makes it feel more worth it to have strangers say something LOL!
Personally I love my legs and seat -its the belly I need to vanish . . . So that will be the ultimate compliment . the WOW what a nice flat belly you have now! LOL dreams.0 -
Uff difficult one to answer:
Besides of the hubby and female friends of mine.. I got from strangers "I see you recovered your sexy shape very quicly (:" or "That's perfection". On a pic of my body (not naked).0 -
I was asked for my ID when ordering a drink in a restaurant last week and the server, host AND owner came to the table to all tell me that I look shockingly good for my age. It made it a GREAT week!:drinker:0
-
The guy that works at my gym said "Your just withering away... no really i can see it" *smiled*0

I hear you, it's nice to walk into clothes stores and not have the women look at you as though you shouldn't be there0 -
I was out with a couple friends at a bar for my friends bday and my friends boyfriend whom I just met that night said to me later that night damn you got some fine legs I can't help but stare and he said I told nicole (his gf/my friend) that I couldn't stop starring at your legs all night! An I was wearing a mini dress that I was rockin by the way!0

I went to physical therapy about a year ago for an injury from a car accident, I recently went back and saw the same therapist and she was like "wow miss skinny minnie you have lost some weight" and when she was checking the muscle tone in my hips (which was HORRIBLE when I first started physical therapy) she smiled and said "Wow that's great"0

When my brother saw my new pic on FB and said, "WOW, you're losing weight,"
When my gyno did the Happy Dance as I told her about my new exercise and weight-loss program...0 -
I've had that happen to me before and it did feel great. I wanted to say "see what you messed up" but I didn't...just smiled and happily turned and walked away!0
