196 AND its TOM?! I'll take it! My calf muscle is much better this week, gave it a lot of rest/ice/elevation and that seemed to help. Been exercising a few levels below my usual just to make sure I won't strain it again. Had an NSV yesterday... since I'm feeling mega-bloated (sorry if that's TMI... haha) I needed some sweatpants and the only one's left were my husbands. I wasn't thinking they would fit because he is about 20 lbs lighter than me and the last time I wore them I was about 20 lbs lighter... anyway... I put them on and they fit! YAHOO! Can't believe it! I hope I will post another loss next week when TOM is over. Thanks everyone for your support, you ROCK!

293.4. I have a block about losing 55 pounds, everytime I get close I blow it big time. It makes no sense I know it is half way to my goal but what the heck is the big deal, just stick to the plan.

I'm beyond frustrated this morning. I did EVERYTHING right last week -- I stayed under my calorie allowance, drank plenty of water every day, and exercised 5/7 days. And I get rewarded with a 1.5 pound gain? Ugh. Oh well... on to next week.

If you've been lifting weight or feel sore from the workouts - it may be water retention. I've been told to do more cardio and less with weights the last couple days prior to weighing, to prevent the water retention. Just a bit of awareness.

I would like to think that I'm losing inches... I've been working out quite a bit and not losing any weight but I know I'm gaining muscle and my clothes fit differently... it's still aggravating not seeing the scale move though (at least not in the right direction!)

I almost dropped out of the challenge because, as you can see, I'm gaining instead of losing and feel very ashamed and disappointed in myself! I start the week great, but then seem to eat like there's no tomorrow. Also, I haven't been able to work out for 3 weeks due to an injury so that makes me frustrated, and I eat more.

How do I get my focus back?!?!?!

Find something inspirational to read! Maybe someones weight loss blog or a good book. I've read this book lately called "Finally Thin"-so good, about this lady who lost a ton of weight by doing it the right way-no fad diets but you really should check out the book because her stories of failing over and over but then trying again are really inspiring. One thing that I'm clinging to that she said is that working out is hard, yes, trying over and over again is hard yes, but so is being fat! Carrying extra weight is just as hard as taking it off so then you have to decide, well if it's all going to be hard, which hard do I choose? We may as well be doing the hard weight loss thing, eh? Another book I'm liking is called "Sugar Nation". Diabetes run in my family so this book has really been an eye opener to me about what I could be doing to my body by not sticking with it. Anyway, good luck this week! I'm sure you will emerge from these trials much stronger!
