Those damn resolutioners
Are still going to MY gym! *kitten*! I was thinking after two weeks it would settle down, but no, if anything its getting MORE full on Mondays and Wednesdays.
I am not happy here. Not happy.
Do I dare think that some of them ACTUALLY have what it takes to change their lifestyle??? *Gasp* THE HORROR! I may be subjected to a lifetime of waiting for weights. A lifetime of people not wiping their sweat up.
A lifetime of....*Turns head* Hellllooooo there cutie!
On second thought, I might like this.

You'll survive. 9 out of 10 will be done by the end of March. I am almost certain of it.0
-
They never tend to last too long. By march only the truly committed will still be there..0

I'm a resolutioner from 2011 and still going strong!0
-
HAHAHA! Have you ever thought of going Tuesdays and Thursdays until things die down. I'm sure there are hot girls on those days too.0
-
LOL Awesome! I have no problem with the copious amount of eyecandy in my gym.0
-
I'm a resolutioner and I WILL still be there in April...
Not eye candy though...0 -
I've actually been thinking the same thing, except at school. Usually people just drop out by now and parking spaces suddenly become available. LOL :laugh:0

I go every day0 -
I am not trying to discourage people who are trying hard to get in shape but I do hear you about the wiping down. That drives me crazy. They even have signs posted right on the machines at my gym and still, they just walk off and leave.0

I was thinking the same thing.... I thought they would be gone by now. So, I am assuming that they are going to stick with it. I am so happy for those that stick with it, but those that just start coming for a resolution and then drop off drive me nuts. They don't understand the gym ettiquete. I wish there was a required ettiquette class when you join a gym. Sick of other peoples sweat. Ick0

atleast they are complaining like a *kitten*...0
-
LOL i'm with you, the parking lot is packed and they are crowding the treadmills - go home and eat bon bons already0

hahah! oh the sweat!!
i, too, thought they would've died down by now but spring break time is about a month away...expecting my gym to be back to normal by then.0 -
I was thinking the same thing last Tuesday, man was it busy. But then Friday nights when I go it's dead in there so it's kind of a trade off. March you say? That's the time frame that most people give up? Alright, by then I'll be getting my mountain bike out and hitting the trails anyways.0

This is why I can't stand the thought of taking myself to a big gym! ICK! People are disgusting!!!0 -
I quit going to the gym for this reason. All they do is sale and sale the memberships but don't tell the new comers the rules or atl east don't enforce them. I hate the newbies that come in and sit on a machine until their done. Get up and let other people work in!! I am doing P90X now and am a lot less stressed out now that I don't have to fight for a parking space, a locker and the machines0

Yes EYE CANDY..does make the wait worth it.!!!:happy:0

Hey! I'm kind of a "resolutioner." I knew I wanted to adopt a healthier lifestyle prior to the new year, but wanted to give myself a little bit of time to warm up to the idea & really commit - & get all of my favorite things out of my system for a little while (hence, my "last meal" @ Olive Garden - yum!!!) I haven't joined a gym just yet, as I've been outside running & trying fitness games for the Wii and 30DS, but I'm here to stay - so get used to me!!!0
-
I started taking a variety of classes at 5:00 am back in November. There were only about 10 of us there and it was GREAT ~ after the new year that number doubled, it has already started to slim down again. I am hoping by April the instructor has a bigger area.....0
-
They're all gone from mine for the most part.
The one's who have stuck it out however leaving freaking 150 million pounds on a free weight bar than leave it in the middle of the free weight area and never put it away. WHO THE HELL do they expect to do that????? I didn't know who did it so I just complained really loud about it and continued with my little 10 pound weights.0 -
It bites being ahead of the game. I started my gym in Nov and Dev. I loved going and classes were always open. Since Jan, I can barely get into any classes and the machines are in use all the time. It is cool they increase membership and more people are getting fit, but if they are selling classes, then they should increase the number of classes if membership increases a lot. If it doesn't get better by March, I'll likely stop my membership since I joined mainly for the classes and will just stick to my home elliptical and kinect/wii.0

Hey wait... weren't we all "resolutioners" in the beginning?0

Yeah, but I ignored my resolutions until April.0 -

>someone on the flat bench just sitting
>I walk up to him
>"hey i'm going to work in with you."
>He just stammers saying ok and stands up.
>I do a set and step away saying
>"ok your turn, go."
Its that easy0 -
I would think you guys, of all people, would be welcoming and supportive.
:noway:
