Go for it, but I agree that it should be anonymous.

Something like that?
I think "I'm always watching you" is a bit like "stalker talk." She doesn't know who the flowers are from...just saying something like...."to brighten your day because we care" would be enough.
just for the record...the 'i'm always watching you' quote was a joke that someone else wrote up here to be cute - not something i was actually considering leaving in a note, so have no fear about my stalker-like intentions!0 -

If I lived alone and got a note that someone was always watching me, I'd probably report it to the police! Sorry, that would scare me a bit!
I was thinking the same thing. Even if I wasn't living alone. BUT I agree you should do it. Maybe sign it from "a friendly neighbor"?0 -
I think leaving her flowers with a nice note is great. I think you should sign it from yourselves though. Getting anonymous things like that can be stressful. She'd always wonder who and why. And if she's got some big problem making her cry like that, she may worry it is from someone she's afraid of or someone who she loves but doesn't love her, etc. There are so many possibilities. I think honesty is best and will be fine.0

Personally If I received flowers because my neighbors could hear me crying occasionally would just embarrass me..But that's just me!! :sad:0

I would be extremely humiliated if I received flowers and a note because my neighbors could hear me crying...oh dear...it would make me think for the rest of my existence *can they hear me???* this includes when:
-listening to music
-dancing
-watching porn
-real life "porn" *cough cough*
-singing
and of course
-fighting and crying.
I really like the gesture, but I wouldn't recommend telling her you could hear her. Maybe the next time you see her ask her if everything is OK. Say, "I saw you a few days ago, and you looked a bit depressed. Is everything OK?" Then if she confides in you, you can give her flowers and a card, "I hope everything gets better!"
Anyways, you seem like a really sweet girl...I would love to have such a thoughtful neighbor0 -
I'd really appreciate it if my neighbour did that for me.0
-
Definitely! I'm sure she'd appreciate the smile0

"friendly neighbour" would creep me out just as much lol Say it in a deep voice and you'll see what I mean!0 -
i didn't read the entire thread, but i would just leave flowers at her door. no note, nothing that shows who they might be from. :-) just flowers.0

give my neighbor some flowers?
we hear her through her walls and our own screaming and crying *extremely* loudly. it's happened on a few occassions over the course of about two years. she lives alone - young doctoral student. we *think* it must have to do with the stress of her program, but we're not sure. the first time we heard her, we thought someone she loved must have died, but then it happened again not long after.
i would like to leave a small boquet with a little note just telling her that i hope she has good days, but i don't know if that would be weird for her or not. we're not close - ocassionally housesit for each other and talk when we meet up on our driveway sometimes.
what say you?
I'd bake her something, wouldn't be "flowers" it would be a friendly treat from a neighbor just saying hello and have a good day!0 -
Leave her a nice note and flowers, but don't say who it's from.
It'll brighten her day and let her know people notice her, and not make things weird between you.

I think definitely say who it is from. As a woman who lived alone for a number of years, I would have been freaked out to get random flowers on my door. If I knew who it was from (e.g. a nice neighbor) it would brighten my day.0 -
Go for it...anonymous or not, your call. It is NEVER wrong to do something nice for someone else - even if they don't receive it in the way you hoped. This world would be a much better place if we all did the NICE thing to do.0
-
I say do it! Never pass up a chance to brighten someone's day.0

You could just leave a note saying you know she must be working hard, so you thought she might like some flowers, no need to mention what you can hear and if they're anonymous she might think a) stalker or b)romeo.
Nothing wrong with doing something nice for another person, that's what it's all about0
