Are you "not fat" or progressing toward it?

Yes! To all of the above... except Twinkies as we don't have them in the UK, but I eat stuff similar.
This whole time I've been thinking that Twinkies was a type of chocolate - it sounds like it should be! Google told me otherwise haha0 -
Yes to everything Twinkies. Don't have them here in the UK.
I would mainline sugar if I could. I'm in recovery...0 -
I eat all those things (well, twinkies, not so much. I prefer cookies). I'm not fat.
Funny thing, i ate the same sorts of things when I was fat; just more of them, and I didn't exercise.0 -
Do you eat carbs? yes
WHITE carbs? yes
Straight up sugar? tons
Alcohol? almost never
Meat? sometimes
Cheese? tons
Dairy? kind of
Twinkies? not really, but candy bars - yes.
ETA:
Processed food? absolutely
Fast food? I love Arby's.
If yes, raise your hand.
Eating in this method I lost 25 lbs then gained back a whopping 5 of them. I am much smaller, wear a 4 instead of a 12 / 14, and while I might not have enough nutrition (like vitamins and such from fresh plants) I enjoy eating crap and will continue to eat crap while getting even more 'not fat'.0 -
Yes on 'bout all counts - guilty, guilty, and guilty...0

Yes on 'bout all counts - guilty, guilty, and guilty...
Did you kill someone? Because there's nothing guilty about eating these foods in moderation and enjoying treats in conjunction with exercise and proper nutrition.0 -
Do you eat carbs? -YES
WHITE carbs? --OH Yea...my fav being pasta
Straight up sugar? -- I'm not a sweets person, but if I choose to sweeten, it'll be with plain good ole sugar!
Alcohol? -- Oh heck yes! Beer, wine, vodka...bring it all to me
Meat? -- Yes, with bacon being my fav!
Cheese? -- Yes ma'am--had it for lunch!
Dairy? -- Yogurt and cheese and full fat milk (or 2%)
Twinkies? -- eh, but I love ice cream
Processed food? -- 50% of my diet is processed
Fast food? -- About once a week
Love the post Rae!0 -

Meat? Yes
Cheese? Yes
Dairy? Yes

ETA:
Processed food? Little as possible
Fast food? No, not in 3 years.0 -
All of the above, except for alcohol and sugar.
I just don't like to waste the calories on sugar when calorie free sweeteners are available and taste the same to me.0 -
"Not fat" is pretty subjective. I'm not medically considered "overweight" so I might count as "not fat."
Do you eat carbs?
H*ll and yes.
WHITE carbs?
Occasionally.
Straight up sugar?
Not like out of the container, but I occasionally eat things that contain refined sugar.
Alcohol?
Yes.
Meat?
No, but this is an ethical thing, not a health thing. (Although I do feel healthier when I don't eat meat, and my chronic GI problems went away.)
Cheese?
I recently lost a taste for it.
Dairy?
Very rarely, but for ethical reasons, not health.
Twinkies?
I've never liked them.
ETA:
Processed food?
Occasionally.
Fast food?
Which Wich and the rare taco bell bean burrito without cheese. Fast food doesn't serve much else that I'll eat.0 -
Yep!!
I eat whatever I want to eat (though I am trying to curb the chocolate but that is IBS related not weight related).
The idea of foods being "bad" pisses me off. No FOOD is bad people make bad choices when it comes to servings of these foods.0 -
Am I not fat? I'm at a healthy weight.
Do you eat carbs? Duh, I'd be a comatose zombie if I didn't.
WHITE carbs? No.
Straight up sugar? No, natural sweeteners.
Alcohol? Sometimes.
Meat? Yes, but usually only chicken or seafood, I don't like beef or pork.
Cheese? Yes, 2% or fat free.
Dairy? Yes, see above.
Twinkies? Hell no.
ETA:
Processed food? I try to avoid it, but I'm not so strict that it drives me crazy.
Fast food? If I'm out and about and need to eat, yes, I choose the healthiest option possible.0 -
Everything bar the meat (not eaten it for 20 years) and the Twinkies (in the UK but would if available). As I am tall, its not that obvious that I am overweight.0
-
I haven't cut anything completely out of my diet. I never liked Twinkies, but I eat an occasional sweet. I have just cut back. I find that the thing I've cut back the most on - as far as a daily basis goes, is sodium. I used to be a salt-a-holic. I still miss it, to tell the truth, but I'm convinced that with enough time, I won't even notice. And I've added more water. That's it.0

All except the Alcohol and Twinkies.
this brings up an intriguing point.
I would eat alcohol spiked Twinkies.
I mean Twinkies that get you drunk? sure.
Has anybody every tried this? I want Rum Twinkies!!0 -

WHITE carbs? yep
Straight up sugar? I usually add a bit of tea and milk to it
Alcohol? occasionally
Meat? yep
Cheese? yep
Dairy? yep
Twinkies? never had a twinkie but I'm really curious... can't get them here
Processed food? sometimes

ETA: ???

Yes on 'bout all counts - guilty, guilty, and guilty...
My point was that you CAN eat all these things and be "not fat" and/or successful at losing weight.0 -
Hell yeah!!! :-)0

I consume...
Plenty of carbs
Some, but very few, white carbs
Very rarely do I eat refined sugar (only on spike days)
No alcohol
Fish on rare occasions, but otherwise no meat
Some cheese and dairy, but not much (due to Gall Bladder problems)
No twinkies, but I'll have homemade baked goods on special occasions or spike days (brownies, cake, etc)
Some processed food (pretty much all food is processed these days), but little to no chemically altered food
No fast food (not even for a salad)
And I'm pretty thin, definitely not fat... but also extremely healthy: low HDL Cholesterol, great blood pressure, and a TON of energy. Just because some people can look "thin" while eating junk doesn't mean they don't have high percentage body fat, cholesterol, and blood pressure. And then there are the rare few that can eat junk, have low percentage body fat, low cholesterol, low blood pressure and tons of energy. Something tells me it will catch up to them eventually...
At any rate, I just really, genuinely enjoy mindful eating.0 -
I'm just saddened by the lack of Twinkie love going on around here. It's just wrong.
And why is it a bad thing that a food never goes bad? I see that as a plus.0 -

So are you saying that you are more "healthy" than the other people who have replied to this post?0
