Loads of small chopped veggies - onions peppers celery tomato leeks mushrooms etc - sometimes raw sometimes cooked mixed with tomato sauce and mayo - going to have to try mustard - I never thought of adding and it sounds yum!!!!!!
sometimes i make it in puff pastry - I'm going to have to start getting used to filo as its less fatty! or over pasta - in which case i chop the veggies a bit chunkier

I have a different kind of tuna salad that I eat on a regular basis:

    I can tuna in water
    1 can white beans
toss with 1 tsp olive oil, 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, and 1 tsp. honey

serve on a bed of romaine or leaf lettuce and top with orange segments.

    Try it! Its really good!

P.S. the tuna mixture makes about 3 salads.

1 can solid white albacore tuna (drained)
1 Tbsp. Kraft Fat Free Mayo w/ Olive Oil
    Finely chopped onion
Dill relish (or fresh dill if I have some)
1 tsp flax seed oil (you can't really taste it, I just put it in there for the health benefits)
1 Arnold Multi-grain Sandwich thin w/ Flax Seed
    Raw Baby Spinach
    2 slices of fresh tomato
2 or 3 slices of avacado if I have some.

Between the tuna, the flax seed, the mayo, and the avacado, this recipe is VERY high in omega 3's

I do something very similar; no cilantro or jalepenos, but the rest is the same, plus I use a little less mayo than one normally would and I add red wine vinegar to make it less dry. Yum!

So how do you do it!?!?!?!

Tuna, a bit of mayo/miracle whip, chopped celery and/or cucumber, and chopped apple. Makes a good snack just as it is, or in a lettuce wrap or pita pocket.

    Can of tuna,
    light mayonnaise,
half of a peach canned in juice.

It's been my lunch for the last week or so.

ETA, the tuna can serve as a "bowl" of sorts or you can chop it all up and put it on a sandwich or roll up, your choice.
  • I love just:

    Tuna
    Salt, pepper and garlic
    Light mayo
    Red onion
    Red pepper

Serve in a sandwich/pitta or on top of a salad - even good mixed with some wholewheat pasta for dinner!!
  • Mine is stupid-easy: Miracle Whip + Hamburger Relish (the red kind) + tuna. Delish.

    ^^ditto
  • I like tuna with mashed up advocado instead of mayo on 100% whole wheat sandwich thins or whole wheat wrap.
  • Tuna, light mayo, relish
I keep it simple because I always put it in a complex salad anyways.
