Food scale question

I have a food scale and wanted to know if weighing cooked pasta is the same as using a measuring cup for cooked pasta. I weighed 8oz of cooked pasta last week for dinner and it did look a bit much to me, but I still lost weight last week.

In general, the food scale is going to be the most accurate. With measuring cups, air pockets and the way the food aligns itself can cause some inaccuracies that aren't a problem with the food scale.0
