Hi guys, I am in need of some help with my Masters project. I am currently doing my Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Ballarat in Australia. My project looks at how relationships, stress and diet contribute to body weight in women (18yrs+). I am in looking for female participants, particularly those who have a higher BMI, who could spare 5 minutes to complete a short survey. The survey is completely anonymous so your privacy is assured (no identifying info is required).

If any of you could help me out, you would be doing me a huge favour as well providing important data for the study.
Please cut and paste the following link to your browser:

Thank you.

    Hi there vic, thanks so much for your support. sorry the link is not working. i got the same thing a few times. I think the server might be periodically overwhelmed. i have cut a new shortcut for you to try:

    All BMIs are welcome but BMIs that are above average are particularly needed. So please do go ahead and complete it. I hope this link works for you. Please let me know if it doesnt.

    Glad to take it, actually the majority of the weight I am trying to lose was caused by a declining relationship and the stress that occurred for years after.

    Thx minihaak, Thx Rizzo.

    Your input is really appreciated. Yeh, I know what you mean Rizzo. I think relationships have a lot more to do with weight than we currently realise. And we're not just talking about relationships with partners either. It can be with parents, and other significant people in our lives. Thats why this reasearch is so important!

    Thx again girls!
  • I also did the survey. Great questions! I am extremely over weight :/ and married.. and a 911 dispatcher so my stress level is always high... hopefully that helps!

    I took it... but was slightly confused that there wasn't a choice under Ethnicity for Black people....

    Aren't there any black people in Australia?

    I'm doing it, but I don't exactly know how I should answer for the first few about eating habits, as I only started mfp 3 weeks ago. Before that I would have had different answers to how I do it now; but being only 3 weeks in, who's to say when my cravings for food will start to kick back in?

    so how do you want me to answer it? For how I am eating right this instant? Or what I was like 3 weeks ago...

    Done, I think my answers would have been very different before MFP!!
    @littlemegzz I did if for current habits/views

    Also, just as a note on the: I am always hungry so it is hard for me to stop eating before I finish the food on my plate Question, I only struggle to stop eating because I am enjoying the flavour so much. So I have put Definately false to this one.

    Finished it. The only other note I would make is probably to know what job the woman is doing. I am in my final year at uni, so on the emotional side, I'm very scewed up regularly. Especially with how big my workload is. It may be helpful if you know whether the person is employed/student/house mum or whatever.
  • Done! I hope my answers help! :)
