Mmmmmm this looks beyond delicious but I don't think you can get spaghetti squash in the UK..... can you?? Is it a specific type or could you use butternut squash?0

Trying this tonight!!! Thanks!!!! Looks yummy!!!!0

Spaghetti squash is a special type. After cooking, it rakes out into strands that are very much like spaghetti noodles. I don't think another type would work.
Taste-wise, it is pretty bland and needs something added to it to really make it tasty, much like pasta and rice do. But it is much lower in carbs and calories than those alternatives.
Edit - I just did a google and found that someone had found Spaghetti Squash in the UK at Waitrose. I don't know if that is a store, a city, an airport, a unit of currency, or a castle, but whatever it is, they once had spaghetti squash.0 -
I've never been able to find spaghetti squash in Aus0

Woops - thanks! I've only eaten zucchini, and the regular little yellow squash. Needless to say, I'll have to get someone in the grocery store to point the thing out to me, lol!:noway:0

Looks absolutely delicious! Scrape the seed out before baking the squash???
Guess you could stuff Portobellos with the same mixture and that would be delicious as well.
Thanks for posting!0 -
Looks and sounds great! Thanks for sharing! :flowerforyou:
I'm not a sausage fan. So, I will swap for extra lean ground turkey.0 -
I made some version of this tonight (a meatless one) and I can honestly say... spaghetti squash is the new pasta.0
