Since they did the digital conversion here, I have no TV channels.
    Sigh.

    Oh well.
It's a beauuuutiful 4th of July out there, and I'm gonna go get in at least a half hour ride before I figure out what to do with the rest of it!

    Happy Independence day, y'all.

Just finished a 40.6m ride in 2.5 hours (I'll never make the Tour. Hehe) to make up for the cookout I'm heading to in a few hours. Happy 4th, Everyone!!! :drinker:

P.S. Fabian Cancellara is in Yellow AND Green after Stage 1

I have a love/hate relationship with retail. I still haven't decided if I like being in management again. The jury is still out. I am not loving the drive. When they need a manager at the Mansfield Ohio store in your company let me know. LOL!

hmmm perhaps I could get you an interview lol :drinker:

I am tour addict too. It's about the only TV I watch all year lol

I'd say watch out for Alberto this year, WOW... what a time trial. Great showing for Garmin Chipotle too, could be fun to watch on the team time trial. It's started...hoooray!

Raining on the rainman today, so I ran, rather... puddle jumped 14 miles instead of cycling. Oh well, I just hate riding in the rain.

Contador did pretty awesome. Team Astana is going to be very tough this year.

No rain here today, but lots of unhealthy food. I cycled 30 miles, both for the exercise as much as to just keep me away from the munchies that just sit there calling out to me.

I got rained out on friday (thunderstorms). Contador annoys me. He's a bit cocky. I'd love to see Lance just step into this Tour as if he never left. At the same time, I like Levi. I'd like to see him on the center podium in Paris.

As far as what you said about this being the only tv you watch. I understand. I went for nearly a year without tv, but got my cable hooked up specifically so I could watch the Tour last year. Hehe.

Also, I'll be posting each stage winner daily as my main image. As you can see, Fabian is set for now...

I'm not a huge fan of Alberto either, but he will be a force to deal with. His time trial surprised me on such a technical course. Fabien Cancellara was amazing, it was crazy fast down those slopes too. I spent some time in Monaco and those climbs are deceiving, but was just cracking up watching the decent in the last 5k. Crazy fast.

Personally, I think the Estana team will implode sometime, somewhere too. You simply can't corral all those superstars. Heck, Alberto doesn't even speak english. It could be a chance for Andy Schleck or some surprise..... lot's of good drama.

Glad I'll have some tour buddies to chat with... most don't follow it as close. :drinker: :drinker:

    Wanna dance? I'm 4'11.

HA.. lynn I think we represent the low and high spectrum of cycling height. I'll sell ya a few inches, I would rather be a bit shorter and actually fit in planes and cars. BTW.. retail is tough work too. I did it for several years. Crazy hours and stress too, no doubt you are a spitfire!

The news is all about Cavendish winning stage 2, which is the big news. Locally though, the big news is our local boy coming in 2nd. He just couldn't quite catch Cavendish. Still, he is young and this is his first Tour.

    Go Tyler!

dlestermfp-That's exciting about the local guy!

Took a short five mile ride with the wife and kids. Lots of work pulling a tag along trailer with two kids in it lol. Got an extra five miles in when I locked the keys in the car and had to hope on the bike and ride home to get the spares. lol Glad I had the bike with me :drinker:

    Have a great Sunday everyone!

My kid is a little bit older than it sounds like your's are, so he can ride himself, but not very fast. We have a ten+ mile route we do most of the time on days I don't work. We have a whole routine where we take off and ride about half the path, stop to play on the playground, then continue to Sonic for lunch (where I have the grilled chicken wrap), then we finish the loop and play in the fountain to cool off at the end.

It is a great little outing. I spend a fair share of it feathering my brakes, but I know those days are numbered. Sometime in the next couple of years I will be hearing, "Hurry up, Dad!"

That does sound like an awesome day out! My boys are 3 and 5. The five year old is working on riding without the training wheels and I am looking forward to being able to have him ride. But for now him and his brother enjoy goofing off in the trailer while I pull them along.

My computer's acting up. I hope I'll be able to check in daily. Yes, Contador is quite a force. I had to watch the re-broadcast of today's stage(2). The Wimbledon final was too good a match to turn off. Pretty uneventful stage. No major drama.
