You can add me if you like. I am 40 and the scale does not want to move. I am noticing changes in muscle tone though. However, I now have issues with joints and stuff that I would not have had if I had started this at an earlier age. Knees and feet especially.0

I'm 39 and I agree with you , it is much harder to lose and maintain weight at this age. I'd love any new peeps in this age range too! So feel free to add me too!0

47 next week. Seems to be that the older you get the harder it is to eat right, exercise more and lose weight.
Anybody can feel free to add me.0 -

Does anybody else have more aches than they used to? I do a personal training class and I have always been very active and limber and now I find that my body aches more after my workout. I have been doing very well on my calories and logging everything and my pants are still tight. I've been doing some reading on the web and the most important thing I keep reading for over 35 is exercise exercise exercise. It seems that it may take a while for the work to pay off but just to keep with it and it will start coming off. I think we are so used to our old metabalism that we want immediate results.
Also, it seems that eating a high carb/calorie day once a week seems to actually rev your metabalism more than being on consistentl low calories days. We'll see - I'm hanging in there - I have a mexico trip to go on in September and I want to be in a bikini on the beach!0 -

Yes - that's my problem too. We don't have kids either and we spend a lot of time together which is great - but he doesn't eat as healthy and work out like I would like too. Also, we travel for motorcycle events and so we are on the go alot. I wish I could get into a good routine and stick with it.0 -

I just entered the 40 club in January & you are right about it being a slow process. Taking it one day at a time & making sure to stay the course, I've been losing (not as fast as I'd like), but I am happy as long as the scale keeps going in a downward direction. I love to motivate others because it helps me too.. Add me if you want0

you can add me, I'm 38 years old - always looking for support!!0

But I will settle for anything at this point. I have a 2 1/2 year old son that I thought would keep my as active as possible but its just not working. My metabolism SUCKS!0

I'm 37 and it is definitely a lot harder this time around. But I know it can be done. We are older so we have more patience right? lol I keep thinking maybe my scale is broken and I'm not really losing weight but it keeps slowly going down.
Add me too please!0 -

I'll be 40 this year and I'm looking to be 40 and FAB-ulous, not 40 and FLAB-ulous so the time to be selfish and make me a priority is now. And we need to understand that it's OK to do that - - everyone around us will benefit when we feel good about ourselves inside and out! Best of luck to all!0
