I'll eventually get it figured out, the problem is it takes time to find a workaround since you've really got to invest time and consistency in order to figure out if they work or not. I keep doing the DL's at a lower weight, and then supplement it with good mornings or Stiff Legged Deadlifts.

Normally this would be the case, a lifter being able to deadlift more than a squat but this is not the case for me.

    I'm 6'3 226 lbs.

    Monday squats were 385 x 3 x 5
    Deadlifts are 225 x 3 x 5

I've been working at them for a while, followed good training video / instructions by Rip but I've shown almost no progression on Deadlifts.

We are pretty similiar in this regard. Not sure why but I can't deadlift for ish! I think it has to do with that sharp pain in my *kitten* cheek! DOH

    squat 425 x1
    Deadlift 350x5

This was taken back in mid December for a form check.

My issue with DL's are form. Grip is fine. My upper back rounds slightly and it keeps me from doing the lift correctly. I've spent 2 months doing other lifts (Good Mornings / Stiff Legged and some levers) to strengthen my back up some. No dice. I'm probably going to give Sumo's a try and see if I have better luck.

    SEXY!!! LoL

Dude big weight right der!! Love it
Widen hands keep that chest puffy son!!! PPL ten to get that lean over.
Of course I willl tape mine and realize I suck!!

I am much stronger on squat than DL as well, and I DO break parallel or I don't count the squat. My 5x5 lifts maxed out here last round:

    Squat: 175#
    DL: 135#

I'm 5'4", and weigh 130lbs. Lately I've been trying the hexbar, since I think fear of scraping my shins was screwing with my form. Hoping to improve this round.

For most folks, deadlift will be the heavier than squat.

I'm currently at just about 1.5x BW for squats and 1.8x BW for deadlift.

Well, 3X6, I think 105 for back squat; deadlift probably around 145?

    Max BS: 135
    Max DL: 185
    Weight 110

My dead is also higher than my squat. I have never seen any with other way around, but reading this post proves that is defiantly possible :)

    Squat - 385
    Deadlift - 315

mainly work squats thats why deadlift is weaker, all about how/what you train

    Deadlift should definitely be higher.

My DL is about 50lbs past my squat.

I know some people get some crossover there. So long as your bench isn't higher than your squat LOL.
