Before: This is beginning of 2010 before really applying any knowledge of diet to what I was doing athletically. Also before I switched from power lifting to triathlons
A week or so ago upon waking:
I quite enjoy the spoon in photo one. It seems a little out of place and I find it really funny for some reason haha :P
For everyone sharing in this post: *clap clap clap* bravo.0 -
I started at 250 lbs in Oct 2010… I am now 161 lbs, my goal being 150-155 in my healthy range.
I’m 5’8… work out up to 2 hours a day throughout the day a mixture of Lesley Sansone DVDs, walking on my lunch, at the local YMCA sometimes. I am on a 1200 calorie daily goal, don’t eat exercise calories back. Don’t eat fast food, processed foods, limit bread and pasta… and strive to only snack on things that contain even a small amount of protein. Drink lots of water and really watch my sodium / sugar intake.
Hope that helps!!!!!!!!!!!
Oct 2010 – 250 lbs
Feb 2011 – 240 lbs
Apr 2011 – 217 lbs
Oct 2011 – 178 lbs
Nov 2011 – 173 lbs (My new jacket I always wanted)
Dec 21, 2011 – 167 lbs0 -

Oh My Gosh!!!! I am LITERALLY brought to tears by these pictures. I am at an all time high (on the scale) and all time low (in my heart and mind). You guys are truly awesome! questions to all of the success stories - how much exercise do you get/did you get when you started? I sooo need help. I can't go on looking and feeling like I do. I'm so scared of failing that I give up too quickly. I have all the excuses in the world and I'm so tired of letting the excuses win. I have to do this - my life, my marriage, my health, everything depends on this - I need to lose 100+ pounds. How long is realistic?
Rachel - thanks for the site.0 -

1st one is @ 2 weeks in
2nd is @ 4 weeks in
3rd is @ 6 weeks in - holding shirt tighter in this one so I can see the lumps and bumps get smaller as I progress. Not a huge difference. Can't wait to post more when I get closer to goal!0 -

I started at 252 six years ago and now I am 164. I am still not happy with myself. I would really love to lose about 30 more lbs but I can seem to get past 164. No matter how hard I work out I just can't break free of the 164. How were you able to lose so much weight? Not sure how to show my before and after pictures. Help please0

June 2002, age 35 and about 200 lbs. I spent most of my 30's like this peeking at 207 lbs in 2005 when I decided to get in shape.
October 2007, age 41 and 165 lbs.
May 2011, age 44 and maintaining at about 165 lbs.0 -

Wow! Everyone here is so inspirational!
I've been seriously working on my weight loss since September 2011. I started after I reached my highest weight ever, 242. I couldn't believe I'd let myself get that heavy. It has been exactly six months and so far I've lost 67 pounds. I have 25 more pounds until I hit the goal I set for myself at 150 (I'm 5'7" by the way). Today I weigh 175.0 -
