Unfortunately for those of us who appreciate his Dr. Phil approach it is a loss. He was straight to the point and a pure food advocate! He was Banned because some members felt offended a little to often by some of his remarks. my favorite quote was " If it did not come from the earth, don't eat it" .

In my opinion, iff he had stuck to being "straight to the point" with the information he provided, he would still have the option to be here. Unfortunately, from what I saw of his posts, I think it was his method of delivery and some remarks that could be construed as personal against certain members who perhaps held different opinions than his that got him bounced.

If your read the the Clean Eating books, you can see why Cool Whip is bad for you. It's all the preservatives and stuff. I have seen recipes to make your own though. I also like the Reddi Whip better too! It's so fun and I love how it tastes!

Here's something I found about energy drinks (that wasn't written by one of the energy drink people):

And here's another one that talks about mixing energy drinks with alcohol:

Okay, so we all need to be brought back to earth a little bit.
I agree. Natural food is best. Peanut butter should be made from peanuts only. Whipped cream should be made from milk.
But seriously, a little cool whip is not going to ruin your life. And if a serving of a dessert made with cool whip from a potluck four or five times a year shortens mine, then so be it.

Sounds like a great plan. It is all about choice. I choose to never eat chemical man made garbage. You may choose to eat anything you wish. Not a problem for me. But now you at least are informed about what it is. That is a good thing knowledge!

For me it is about the additives and the things that they are made of that are not natural. The other thing for me is taste. I would rather have a small amount of real butter and have that flavor than the flavor of chemical with less calories. I don't eat clean all the time but I do try to control what I eat so I am not eating much processed foods.
I'm the same with low fat. I'd rather have the full fat sour cream and eat a smaller portion. The full fat tastes better so then I use less because I get more flavor.

I completely agree. Butter substitutes have too many chemicals. I eat regular sugar, real butter, real cream... I just control the portion. That's what my weight loss goal has been all about... Portion control. I don't deny myself of anything, just careful of how much I have

    You are safe -

I'm with you, though. I really do miss Dave and could really use his advise - like all the time. I appreciated his honesty, and was not offended by his directness.

    That is all..
