Humas instead of mayo in tuna
Quinao instead of rice or pasta (most of the time)
Wine instead of water...
Thought you said humans instead of humas. Didn't question it. It's been a long day already.
I read the same thing! :laugh:0 -
instead of mayo, i use avocado...i'm eating some right now!0

is there anything for your nutrition you have made interchangeable? i.e. rather than slathering gravy on already fatty foods, I prefer vinegar.
i love my gravy, but i also like balsamic vinegar a lot. and it does work as kind of a gravy replacement (figured that out when eating salad and steak...) i also use it instead of the traditional oil & vinegar salad dressing.
no fat yoghourt with cocoa powder instead of chocolate.
cottage cheese instead of milk in an omelet.0 -
Instead of chili cheese fritos, I have switched to Funyuns.. Oh not any healthier at all, but there is less in a bag, so by reason of consumption amounts alone, much better for me... LOL :noway:
Kidding.. I have pretty much given up al my delicious chips.. excpet on maybe a rare occaision.0 -
I've replaced my large bowls with smaller ones
I totally forgot about this... we RARELY ever use our full size plates.0 -

i've been needing larger plates to fit my salad on... it takes a lot of greens to get up to 50 calories....0 -
I've heard of cauliflower replacing mashed potatoes and to me that sounds disgusting, but was assured you cannot tell the difference. Still iffy on that one.
the only real diff is the texture. i love this sub.0 -
Nonfat greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt
Peanut butter or jam on toast instead of butter
sugar free pudding cups instead of regular pudding
wheat instead of white
fruit replaced most sweets
Salad w/ no dressing instead of french fries for burgers/subs/wings
Hmm sure there are lots more replacements0 -
just tried this--yummy:
peanut butter cups
> 90% dark choc dipped in PB20 -

so it tastes good for real? Could I pull it over on my husband? (he loves veggies, but if I just swap out mashed potatoes for cauliflower that might be a different story).0 -
I doubt it.
I like mashed potatoes plain
I HATE mashed cauliflower plain. I have to add stuff to it, like cheese and bacon bits or the like to make it "loaded" its the only way I care for it. Admittedly if you can get past it, its a decent substitute.0 -
instead of beer and wine...flavored water0
