Some of these are great tips, some are bunk. The problem is that Dr. Oz. is a self serving, money hungry *kitten* who will say anything for a buck, so it's difficult to take anything he says seriously. But that's just my opinion.0
-
I agree easier list same out come. But he makes millions from all the non sense.0

If you feel like being lazy give yourself the choice of reading the 100 tips or going down the gym0
-
I have to come back to this0

I want to try some of this suggested 'strength straining' and to do #67 or #68... since they're exactly the same... right? Sweet Jeebus!
Oh and the 'sex instead of eating' is only proper if you want to burn a couple of hundred calories. It seems like much more of a workout than it is depending on amount of arousal, position and duration. A 30 minute quickie isn't going to get you those dramatic weight loss results.... but it sure is fun! Be sure to wear your HRMs you lovely love-birds!0 -
lolling on my lollerskates going to the lollercoaster
LOLLL!!!!!
though some of those tips do seem helpful i like the simplified post someone else posted0 -

as much as I'd love to be paid millions of dollars, I'll settle for good health and my own list.0 -
OP I know you probably meant well, but this is just crazy-talk. Why do we insist on making weight loss harder than it already is with a billion rules?0

Give it a few, he'll be peddling soap soon enough:

If you skip a meal, you will go into "fat-starvation mode"- UNLESS the meal is dinner and the purpose is to have sex, you have done the requisite metabolism-boosting by drinking chili-pepper green tea, and you make sure you track your activity with a pedometer!
this made me buckle over :drinker:0 -

former viewer here when it comes to Dr Oz, the latest "Dr Phil" of health........ my opinion is that if the sponsor pays him well, he will endorse it.....
he really flubbed on Vitamin E for men over 50 who have high prostate levels............there is medical evidence that men should STOP taking Vitamin E who have symptoms of high prostate levels, yet he sat there and promoted Vit E for all men with no research what so ever, then he quickly changed his statement........
this is only one of his flubs............hes only in it for the money, although when he first started, he was really informative
I stopped watching him about 5 months ago, its too Holllywood for me.............
Not to mention it's painful to watch. He uses all these graphics that he can't even talk fast enough to narrate. Also, it feels like I'm watching Nickelodeon in the 90's with all the ooze gimmicks he uses to "demonstrate" things.0 -
Even Oprah can't believe it0 -

I noticed that too. Loving the LOL graphics!
As much as I agree with most of you re: Dr. Oz being a quack, I have a feeling this is one of those lists something threw together and tagged his name onto to make it seem more credible - just based on the typos and repetition of 67 & 68.110 -

4) Take your measurements because sometimes the scale can be a lying sack of crap
5) Be patient. You didn't gain 100 pounds overnight and you're not going to lose it in 2 weeks
6) Starving yourself will make you cranky, but it's not going to make you healthy
... How is that for a start?0 -

So now I'll bet you're going to say they don't sell this magic soap anymore.:sad:0 -

lmao... I like #100.
That 30 seconds usually consists of me thinking, "yup, still hungry!" then digging in!0 -
Thanks for the awesome post!!!0

I love his weight training suggestion:
71. Pick up a 5- or 10-pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off. Holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be.0 -
I lost respect for Dr. Oz the day he tested a woman's blood sugar on his show, saw that it read 102, then stated "This means you are diabetic!" He should never diagnose again.0
