Hi,
I've been falling of the wagon a bit recently so for March I’m repeating a challenge I did in October to lose 4% off my body weight and am inviting anyone to join me doing so.
There is no particular exercise needed to be undertaken just weight loss in any fashion you like, the goal is for on 31st you to be 4% lighter than you were on the 1st (formula below).
Each week members should just post how much you’ve lost and muse about how you’ve done it. Weigh-ins is Thursday but by Monday is fine.
Starting Weight – 189 lbs. (Thursday 1st March)
Goal Weight Loss – 7.6lbs
Week 1 –xxx lbs. and xx % lost (Thursday 8th March)
Week 2 - xxx lbs. and xx % lost (Thursday 15th March)

##CALCULATIONS##
Unless someone knows better, I’ll use these formulae for calculations.
1. YOUR 4% goal is;
(March starting weight) divided by 100 multiplied by 4 = goal weight loss
e.g. I weigh 189lbs
189lbs/100 x 4 = 7.6lbs weight loss goal
2. For the final weigh-in, to calculate how much you ACTUALLY lost is;
(Total weight loss) multiplied by 100 then divided by (March starting weight) = % lost
E.g. If I lost 9lbs
9lbs x 100/189 = 4.8% off starting weight.
2. Take the lost weight and divide by the new weight will give you your percentage. You can leave the step of dividing by 100 out of both.0 -

Congrats to the great losses so far in the previous posts.
So for week 1 I lost 3lbs and wiped off 1.6% of me which is more than I did for the whole of February. After losing so little in Feb I think my lost might be accelerated a bit so i'm not expecting to lose so much in the next few weeks.
