I'm losing steam here, people. Week to week i'm down 1 lb, up 2 the next, down 1 lb, up 4 the next. It's exhausting. I'm working out 6 days a week. Eating well, doing Boot Camp twice a week...I am NOT seeing a change in my body and it's really starting to get to me. SO here are a couple of pictures of me when I started, and here is me a few weeks ago. Can anyone see a change???

Sorry no I do not see the difference but I do believe that the number on the scale is not what you should be going by. You are a RockStar and workout hard, what are the NSV you have accomplished? How do you physically feel?
I think everyone should ban their scales from the bathroom for two months. Keep at what you are doing.0 -
<----no caps0

although its easier said that done its more about how you feel. do you have more energy typically? are u able to do more crunches or can you increase the weight that you are lifting? things like that....i have a hard time letting go of the number on the scale too. so i know how you feel.0

I figured it out...but now I can't resize it so everyone can see....0 -
oh yes definatelly! good job! forget the scale..0

yes I can see a difference! You look more toned. Keep it up!0
-
yes, your tummy looks smaller and more toned. definitely a difference! keep it up! i'm in the same boat as you - us that have less to lose and more to just firm up - it seems to take longer0

Your stomach and thighs look smaller to me!0
-
can definitely see a difference in your thighs and stomach!! dont loose steam!0
-
Big difference! Ignore the scale..it play tricks on us. You are doing great.0

Oh thank god! You guys are really cool! I still kinda don't see it - but I know that you just get used to looking at yourself. I knew fresh eyes would be able to see progress I was missing. Thanks SO MUCH for all your responses. I'm already starting to feel more fueled to keep going!0

It's not a huge change but definitely different. You're looking more toned. And as someone else said, stomach and thighs are slimmer. Don't give up!0

The same thing happened to me for almost a month...up and down. Keep at it and it will stabilize and change. I'm not a medical professional, but I think it takes a while for your body to become accustomed to the change of lifestyle. I also think you look firmer and more toned. Keep going...it will get better!0

Thanks guys! Yeah, I guess I feel like I should be further along and looking better than I do. I've been at this since August, so like 7 or 8 months, and I see others on the site making huge strides over a year. I guess everyone's different though, and I shouldn't compare my journey to anyone else's...0

I can definitely see a difference. The stomach is flatter, thighs are smaller and less flab on the sides. Great job.0

Your arms look smaller and your stomach looks (more) toned. Goodness gracious, you look great, don't be frusterated!0
-
You definitely look more toned! keep it up!0
-
YES! You look more toned in the second pic! GREAT JOB!0
-
You looked more toned for sure.0

I can see a difference in the mid section, if you really want to know do measurements. Although the scale can be intimadting the tape usually doesn't lie and I tape once a month so that way I know I get results. Keep up the good work you look awesome.0

I feel like I see a slight difference in the love-handle/hip area. Try going for measurements. Much more accurate when you're working out a lot. Scales really only work if you ONLY burning calories to drop weight, not if you/re doing intense workouts to get leaner also.
Another thing, those that have less to lose, have a harder time doing it, when doing it properly. Don't give up! You're doing great.
One thing I do to try to keep steam (tho just getting back from a period of slacking for life reasons) is to set personal fitness goals. i.e. How far and fast you can run a certain distance. Or the weights you put on the machine. Then you can see progressive numbers, if that's something you need.0 -
You defidently looked more toned! Just forget the scale and focus on the measurement! (as I know, this is hard :grumble:)
Keep Calm and Carry On,

I definently see a difference, you look so much more toned in the second picture. Keep it up!0

I definitely can see a difference, you can tell that your losing fat and gaining muscle. Your stomach looks flatter and thighs look more tone and thinner. I think the biggest change I see is the "love handle" area... you are much more trim there. I think if you want to continue to gain muscle and tone up you should increase the number of times a week you are working out and start changing your workouts. For example, if you do 50 crunches normally try doing 25 circular crunches combined with 25 bicycle crunches.
If you have access to joining a Bodypump class I highly recommend it. I have seen major changes in body since I started taking the class, I go 2-3 times a week0 -
Yep! Keep it up.0
-
I see it! It is a small difference but your tummy right under your ribs looks more toned to me. You are already so small, I'd ignore the scale and focus on building muscle/toning up.
Great job! Keep it up0 -
I can see the difference. Keep it up0
-
I disagree with anyone saying they can't see a difference - I definitely can. Granted, it's not a massive difference but it is a notable one. You look smaller and much more "toned"/shapely. Keep at it because it's working. You should take measurements and take note of how your clothes fit and feel to track changes. The scale is a poor measure of progress0
-
Hell yes I see a difference! Great job!0
-
Actually I can see a difference.
I draw so I notice stuff others might not.
I see that your rear end looks firmer.
I see that your tummy looks tighter and more toned.
I see that you look smaller in inches and the contours of your body are firmer and leaner.
So, keep it up. :-)
You are doing great!0
