I eat at
6:30am
9:00am
11:30am
2pm
5:30pm
I have a protein shake at 7pm to last me through the night
I have had two co-workers comment "it seems like you are always eating"
I find this frustrating. I stay within my calorie range, I just eat often throughout the day and never have one really big meal.
I eat a snack even if I am not hungry because it prevents me from over eating.

I eat several times during the day as well. Works better for me than the traditional 3 times a day. Some people like just 1 or 2 big meals a day. Whatever works is what is best for YOU.0

Ummm who cares what other people think! Screw them! You know what you are doing and you are doing it right! That's all that matters!0 -
What you're describing is a GOOD thing! Eating more frequently helps your blood sugar stay more stable, makes you less likely to overeat at mealtime, and some say helps your metabolism. Do what works!!0
-
yes i do the same thing 6 am 9 am 12 pm 3pm and 6pm...people always have something to say no matter what..you know what your are doing it and why, dont worry about the negative energy..do whatever works for you....
good luck0 -
I also eat frequently. I eat healthier and fined it easier to eat this way. I still occasionally have cravings and want to splurge, but not very often.0
-
I eat lots during the day too ... it helps me not go crazy at night. I say do what works for you!0

they dont understand how you can be "always eating" and still loose weight. But that is what works for people. Including me. I have found that 4 hours is the MAX that I can go between meals with out feeling like I am starving. Why be frustrated? I just smile and enjoy the fact that I can eat often of foods that I enjoy and still loose weight and that THEY find it frustrating. You are one of the lucky ones. Dont be frustrated Just tell them "as long as it works why knock it?"0

i stopped caring what people said a long time ago.. they only bring you down.. i am a one meal a day type person.. and with that people tend to be so confused and say the most annoying stuff when i sit down and eat 1500-3000 calories in a sitting depending if i am on a bulk or cut cycle..0
-
I do the same thing! It does feel like I'm always eating, but its what our bodies need
and I agree completely with shady1987dre who says "who cares" what everyone else thinks!0 -
If it works, keep doing it! When you're healthy and at goal weight they will be asking "HOW DID YOU DO IT?". Bwhahahahahaha0
-
you are suppose to eat the way you do.. That's how you loose the weight.Just ignore those people. Just keek doing what you are doing and she will see.0

Eating more frequent small healthy meals was a game changer for me. Unfortunately I've gotten lazy about it... but thank you for reminding me it makes a big difference.0

I eat 5 times a day and seem to be moving in the direction of 6 times a day. Three meals a day doesn't work, because in between I want to eat junk food, so, instead, I plan for the protein shake, popcorn, or whatever. If I know that I have something "planned" I can hold off for the short while.0
-
Don't worry about what other people think, you just have to do what works best for you. I hate several times throughout the day too. I can't eat 3 big meals. My mum is the opposite. Different things work for different people.0
-
I try to eat something every 4 but not more than 6 hours. keeps me full and from overeating but I do have my 'lapses in judgement' from time to time0
-
When your coworkers comment, smile pleasantly and say, "I really appreciate your concern, my eating schedule is working for my body and my health." (or substitute the word "interest" for "concern?" If you're losing weight steadily they may be scratching their heads and wondering what's up?

What ever works. Some people have to eat mini meals throughout the day whereas others can go longer stretches and have 3 meals.0

this helps me stay on track too and if I feel like something I know it won't be long before I have something to eat.0 -
I eat breakfast, lunch, again at 3:30ish, supper and then before bed. Does that seem like a lot? I've never thought about it. Don't let people bother you--they obviously don't feel good about themselves. Hang in there!0
-
same here. It just works best for me. :flowerforyou:0

I also eat this way. It's just the way I'm comfortable consuming food. I struggled with hunger before when I tried doing 3 meals and 2 small snacks. Now I just break meals up all day and eat.
Someone made the same comment to me a couple of days ago. I mostly don't care about other people's opinions about me. I just shrugged and said, "I must be doing something right" and walked away.0 -
I find it much easier to eat throughout the day also, but in smaller portions. I'm not an expert by any means, but I'm always hearing people tell me how it's good for the metabolism.0
-
I do the same. No worries on what your hater-coworkers think...
:happy:0 -
Why is it frustrating? You DO eat frequently.0

I guess I worry because I am overweight and worry that people think this is why, but this is actually why I am losing weight. I am overweight because I was not a mindful eater, I ate to eat and to numb myself out of my reality. Some people drink, smoke, llok at porn, run, work too much to numb out of their reality for me I ate.0
-
Whenever I diet, I pretty much eat all day. It's pretty time consuming. And I feel like I alls I think about is food. But that's how 'they' say to do it.0
-
I am the same way & get the same comments, I pay it no mind. I eat ALL day at work but don't eat much at night
Get to work & eat breakfast by 9
protein snack around 10
lunch usually by 12:30-1:00
afternoon protein snack around 3
If I eat dinner I eat by 6:300 -
It's a mind *kitten* kind of thing that you do to yourself. I don't like it when people comment on my eating, makes me feel bad about myself. I am obviously fat, so it's not like I can hide that. But when people makes comments, even just innocent ones like the OP described, it make ME self conscious. So I get where you're coming from. You just have to roll with it and learn to take a comment at it's face value and not read into it. Good luck.0

I see. Well, you know that what you are doing is working for you, so never mind what they may or may not be thinking. It isn't as if you are eating burgers and onion rings 6 times a day. Maybe the next time they say something, you could mention how wonderful it is to be able to eat often because you are making nutritious choices. That might make you feel better and it also might make them realise what you are actually doing.0
