Could I ask what Spaghetti Squash is? Looks yum x

It's an oval-shaped, yellow squash that you should be able to find in the produce department any time of year. It is delish, and it looks just like spaghetti the way it comes out - that's why it makes an amazing substitute for pasta!!

I love spaghetti squash! Even with just salt, pepper, and a little bit of butter.

not a cheese person, but i think it might be good with a butter spray instead of the cheese :)

btw - how can you tell if a spaghetti squash is good? you know, while grocery shopping - how do i know which one to buy? does that make sense?

This sounds yummy! But to save time when cooking Spaghetti Squash, I microwave it until it becomes soft. It's quicker than baking! But to each their own :)

I tried the microwave for 10 minutes according to some directions I found online, and it was not soft, so I put it in for another 10 minutes - it was softer, but not AS soft as it comes out in the oven....

How long do you cook it in the microwave for?? And do you cut it in half? Any advice to save time would be appreciated

I cut it in halve, scoop out the seeds, place cut side down in a baking dish, put in about a half inch of water and then microwave and it takes about 10-12 min. but check for the consistency that you like based on your microwave wattage and the size of the squash. The water in the dish makes all the difference, but it doesn't make it mushy.
