Thank you for your post. How long do you think it should take to lose 20 lbs if cardio is been done 4-5 times a week along with weights eating around 1200 cal?0

You should aim to lose about a pound a week. Be patient and the results will happen. If you use resistance rather than cardio, you will gain lean muscle mass as well as losing fat and as a result, your metabolism will also increase so its a win win for you.0

I also done another post today highlighting strenght training so please feel free to have a look. Its called "Weight Loss - Cardio v resistance training".0

This is awesome. I find myself in this situation currently because I am doing the South Beach Diet. My appetite isn't really there and I lost so much weight in only two weeks, I was scared to start eating "normally" again. My weight loss has plateaued, so I am forcing myself to eat a healthy amount of food now. Using MFP helps me to see that I was not eating enough and doing damage to my metabolism.0
