1 cup cooked quinoa with cinnamon and 1 tsp brown sugar or honey. Cook a diced apple iin the microwave and stir in. Yummy. And best thing, you can cook up a lot of quinoa in advance and refrigerate.0

I'm a big fan of smoked salmon with light cottage cheese on a multi-grain or wholemeal muffin.0

oh, I almost forgot, my chocolate brownie recipe actually makes a very good breakfast bar
•1 Stick Butter
•4 oz Unsweetened Chocolate
•1/2 cup Unsweetened Dutch-Process Cocoa Powder
•1 Cup Almond Flour
•1 Cup Flax Meal
•2/3 Cup Water
•1/3 Cup Heavy Cream
•1 Cup Xylitol
•3 Tbsp + 1 1/4 Tsp Truvia
•4 Large Eggs
•1 Tbsp Vanilla
•1 Tbsp baking powder
•1 Tsp Salt
Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9x13 baking pan (coconut oil is best)
With a mixer, cream the butter untill fluffy. Then blend in the sweetener. Once fully combined, add the vanilla. Add the eggs one at a time. Next add in the salt, and slowly blend in the cocoa powder.
Over low heat, melt the chocolate. Then slowly pour into mixture while continuing to mix.
In a seperate bowl, blend the Almond Flour and Flax Meal with the Baking Powder.
Stir Heavy Cream and Water into the Flour Mixture. Then slowly add the Flour Mixture to the Chocolate Mixture.
Pour into the pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until top springs back, or a toothpick comes out clean.0 -

Since I have Hypoglycemia & need extra protein in my diet, I'll scramble up 3 eggs, add mexican cheese (pre-cut & mixed) & finish it off with a toasted english muffin with SMART BALANCE buttery spread. It's about 346 calories. Sometimes I don't have the OJ.

I eat a light english muffin with peanut butter and banana on top. Serve with almond milk.
If anyone gets Self magazine, the new issue has a 10 day meal plan with some really cool meal ideas. One of the recipes is for quinoa pancakes.0 -
This us something I haven't had for awhile, but it was so good on days I worked out. 2 toaster waffles, 1 scrambled egg, 1 slice cheese (I used American, but you could use something else), 1 slice tomato, a few fresh basil leaves. Gonna have to do that again this year when my garden comes in.0

ou can do your own "mcmuffin" at home with eggwhites(i just use the whole egg, but if you are wanting low cals stick with the whites) and turkey sausage patties on a light enflish muffin with a slice of american cheese. You can also do turkey bacon instead of the sausage if youd like.
I am a HUGE breakfast lover.....but i love all the bad things like homemade biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes and bacon or chorizo and eggs....but not a huge fan of pancakes and waffles, just the fatty greasy stuff0 -

1 glass skim milk (88cal)
2 boiled egg whites (34 cal)
1 medium banana (80 cal)
371 good for you calories

Ingredients:
1 small (3-ounce) whole-grain bagel
2 tablespoons low-fat cream cheese
2 large slices tomato
Salt and pepper to taste
Santa Fe Egg Scramble
1 egg plus 2 egg whites
2 tablespoons canned green chilies, dried
2 tablespoons cheddar cheese
1 whole wheat tortilla, heated
1/2 grapefruit
Make it: In a pan over medium heat, scramble eggs, chilies, and cheese together. Once cooked, place egg mixture in tortilla and fold. Eat with grapefruit.
Black Bean Breakfast Burrito
1 and 2 egg whites
1/4 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained
2 tablespoons salsa
2 tablespoons shredded low-fat cheddar cheese
1 small whole-wheat tortilla
Make it:
Scramble eggs, beans, salsa and cheese. Fill tortilla with egg mixture.0 -

spinach
& any veggies you like (precook all- green peppers, mushrooms, onion)
cooked crumbled turkey bacon if you like
reduced or fat free cheese if you like

spray mini muffin pans with non stick spray
pour into pans

1/2 c. low-fat cottage cheese + 1/2 c. Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal (All Bran Flakes make a good substitute as well) + 1/4 c. diced apple + dash cinnamon. Remaining apple served sliced on the side. Iced Chai Tea Latte: 1 tazo chai tea bag (steep for 5 min. 3-4 oz hot water then pour over glass full of ice) + 1 Tbsp. Coffee Mate Fat Free French Vanilla creamer + 2 packets Stevia in the Raw.
