Peanut butter

My local grocery store allows you to grind your own from fresh or honey roasted peanuts. They also do almond butter but I can't quite go there yet. You can even make your own in the food processor. Choose unsalted, roasted peanuts. You can add a dash of salt or a touch of honey if you prefer and blend until it's as smooth as you like. Great thing about natural is that when it separates you can just dump the oil off...save a few cals and fat grams for something else.0

I like Justin's Hazelnut Peanut Butter, though I hardly buy it because it's not available where I currently live. Boooo.
If you live near a Whole Foods, you can make your own peanut butter in-store!0 -
Trader Joe's organic peanut butter. Only ingredient is unsalted peanuts. I also like Smucker's natural creamy. Only salted peanuts.0

I am a huge fan of Smucker's Natural Creamy (http://www.smuckers.com/products/ProductDetail.aspx?groupId=2&categoryId=11&flavorId=65). Most other peanut butters taste too smooth and over-processed to me, but I would happily eat a jar of this in a day or two...0

I buy Field Day Organic Peanut Butter from my local healthy food store. I keep it in the fridge to give it the consistency I expect from my peanut butter. It has no added sugar, which a lot of the major "natural brands" have.0

What we do is just to go to Sam's and get the big peanut cans, put them in a food processor and that becomes our peanut butter. It really is good, cheap and natural (as far as I can tell...).0

Any of these should suffice. 4Tbsp daily min..lol...but seriously 4.

Smuckers is awesome0

Trader Joe's has a great one! If you are looking for other yummy nut butters (teehee), Justin's makes an awesome maple almond and a delicious chocolate hazelnut....both all natural!0

Adam's is my favourite on it's own, but I use PB2 for anything it's mixed into, like shakes, protein bars, etc.0

Peanut butter co. - those are like dessert butters :P yummy though!!
I make my own in the food processor when nuts are on sale. Sometimes I buy natural other times I grab what's on sale b/c I don;t eat it every day.
Excuse me while I go get some pb to eat now!0 -
I go to Winco Foods Grocery Store. And they have a machine that crushes your peanuts into your own plastic container. They also have almonds to crush the same way. I think its better than anything I tried in a jar. I want to try that PB2 stuff. That sounds good.0

Trader Joe's has an almond and peanut butter very close to the same profile.0 -

LOVE that chocolate one! I put it in my fruit smoothies as a sweetener. There are always at least two jars in my house.
And I'm also not a PB2 fan. Sorry, but anyone who tells you it tastes "just like peanut butter" either needs to get his or her taste buds checked or never had peanut butter.
It doesn't taste bad, but it sure isn't the same thing.0 -
Thanks everyone! Very helpful information!0
