I am no longer overweight

I did not update my weight on this website for a few weeks, because I did a crazy thing.

I signed up for half-marathon and concentrated on using the little time I had to prepare for and learn as much as possible about and 13.1 miles run. I ran it on 3/24/12 and now can update my weight. It is 171 at this moment (night) but this morning it was 168.7 !!!!!

I crossed the 170 pounds point and officially I am no longer overweight. Life is beautiful.

Congrats! That's amazing on so many levels. But I also really like a success story that represents a slow and steady weight loss.

    Outstanding.

Congratulations both on the weight loss and especially on the race. Sounds like it worked for you.

I'm a little scared to try running but I see a lot of people on this site have good luck with it so I might just step out of my comfort zone.

As I lose weight I feel more and more like exercising - and if they can make those people on 'the biggest loser' run then my knee cartilege is bound to be okay...

Well done on crossing the great divide. Three cheers. :D
