NSV- Fitting in to a pair of jeans I inherited from my mom (she's cool, there good jeans) after she lost a bunch of weight. I inherited the jeans ooooooh.... 5 years ago? Have held on to them because I was always annoyed I couldn't fit into my mom's FAT JEANS! So I said I would keep them until I could fit in them, and now I can

NSVs - I finally got some compliments of strangers (well, neighbours etc) for having lost weight and I fit into jeans I haven't in so long I don't even remember when the last time was!!!

Silly NSV: I was able to fit into the stock size bridesmaid dress and the bridal store! (It wasn't comfortable, but it zipped!)

I am in! Been using MFP since Jan, but not religously....got focused in March and the weight loss has really begun!
NSV: I can do my strength training workout better, my balance has improved, and my confidence in performing the exercises has come up, and now I am helping out the newbies, instead of trying to be invisible...

Silly NSV: When I started this journey I could barely bend over to tie my shoes. I had to bend down and start, then take a break so I could breathe again. Sad, huh? I just realized the other day that all my exercise is starting to pay off. Not only can I bend and stoop without losing my breath, I can sit on the side of the bed and cross my legs over my knees again! Hey, it is exciting for me! :-)

Yay I finally found a challenge!! I will weigh myself tomorrow and officially introduce myself then. I have been on MFP since Jan 21011 and had lost 34 lbs when my hubby got sick and ended up in hospital for 2 weeks a few weeks ago. It's all good now but I got totally out of synch while he was in hospital and just stopped logging or exercising, and I have gained several pounds back. Ugh!! I need accountability to get me back on the straight and narrow! lol My latest NSV is that I am back!

I'm in. Don't know if I can lose that much in a month, especially since we are on Spring Break (I work in a middle school). But it will be a good challenge to keep myself in check this week while out of my regular routine.
First my scale victory: I only started MFP recently and lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks and then got bad news that my mother in law was dying. She has since passed away. The family got together on and off during this time for a couple of weeks and I gained most of my weight back. I am happy to say I have lost all that I gained. Anything I lose now will be New Weight again.
NSV: Went to Applebees the other night with girlfriends. While everyone was ordering high calorie drinks and meals I had a blackened Tilapia that was wonderful and only 470 calories. I go out to dinner a couple times a week with friends and it was so nice to enjoy their company AND be able to stay on plan. It felt GREAT!!!
Looking forward to a month of losing.

Did I read something wrong, I thought when I first read this post that we were suppose to try to lose 10 pounds this monrth. But now I see it is only 5 pounds. Did it change, or did I read it wrong originally?
I am still going to shoot for the 10 pounds a month. I have a lot of weight to lose so I would like to consistently be able to lose 10 pounds a month.
I am going to weigh in tomorrow, even though Monday if my "Official WI day" and will post my starting weight then.
