    Kristen ~ YAY!!! I'm sooooo excited for you! I had dialated 1 cm, my baby was 1 wk late and when the did the cesarean, he still was NOT in the birth canal. At least your little blessing is trying to get out! LOL :happy:

    I'm having a crappy week. I haven't worked out and for the last 2 days haven't eaten too healthy. I need to go grocery shopping desparately, because there is nothing in the fridge that I can really fix other than salad and I'm tired of salad for a little while. I'm working a 6 day week which is not fun, especially working second shift. I guess I ought not to be tired of it, that's how I got this way in the first place....I need a HUG! :ohwell:

    Good Morning all ... what a scorcher it is here today ... big time high humidity. I've got to figure out some kind of fitness thing to do today ... maybe I'll wait and see if it is better in the evening. So the hubby and I went to the Fallsview Casino last night. We don't gamble but we went for Dinner at an all you can eat buffet restaurant they have there (I stuck with salmon, veggies, and allowed myself a low sugar apple rhubarb square with some fruit on the side for dessert ... mmmm), then took a short walk around the falls, and then went to a show called Twist & Shout. All in all it was a lovely evening. I think there's some kind of party going on tonight but I'm not sure ... why is there so much disruption in our lives during the summer? Any who ... just wanted to pop in and say hi to you all and wish you a lovely weekend. Take care of you.

    Hey ladies, just a quickie! Waiting for DH to get out of the shower. I'm all packed, clotheswise, but still need to shower and pack that stuff... And I want to squeeze in a tanning appointment and a trip to the library before we leave at 11. And it's 9:30 right now. Arrrrgh! Thinking sushi tonight for dinner though, so something yummy to look forward to. Going to pack a cooler to take so we don't eat fast food along the way. Oh, bathroom door just opened, have a good one ladies!

    Hi again ... turns out as soon as I sent my last post out I got a call from my BFF to go for a walk. So off we went into this humid hot hot day. It was nice ... we took our time so we could continue to breath so it took us an hour and forty five minutes and I burned 581 calories in that time. I'm glad I got that in because it turns out that I have a dinner party to go to today so goodness knows what food choices will be there. Is it that rude of me to call the hostess and ask even if I don't know her that well? I guess I shouldn't do that, I'll just do my best to make the healthiest choices. Well, I'm off now to do a little shopping. Take care all!!

    Hi all! I've been doing well this week on my exercise and water, but I've been eating too much (mainly eating the wrong things). We had a yard sale this morning to get rid of some of the crap we've accumulated, so I got in some good exercise moving boxes from the garage to the front porch then back again once the sale was over.

    Kristin - I'm so excited for you! There is nothing like holding your baby for the first time! It's :love:

    Lauryn & Tammy - Enjoy the birthday parties! Happy birthday to your daughters!

    Hello ladies! Mike and I are in our hotel in Detroit. It just opened 2 months ago, so it's very clean (probably the cleanest one I've ever stayed in, lol). Everything smells fresh and new! We did pretty good on the drive (it's about 7-8 hours). I had made a pita stuffed with tuna salad and tomatoes and threw that in the cooler. DH ate his sammich at home before we left. We also had extra water bottles and veggies and yogurts and no sugar added applesauce in the cooler. (And whipped cream--we're staying in a hotel and kidless, so I'll just leave it at we've also got a can of whipped cream:wink::wink: ) I did get a package of beef jerky on the drive down at a gas station, but I combined a few strips of that with some carrots and cucumber slices. So, not a bad snack. After we checked in, we went to go get sushi. It was ok, not the best we've ever had, but definately not the worst. Mike ordered something different today, and we ended up with a some kind of a battered and fried roll. It was good, but I only had 2 or 3 pieces of that. We make better rolls at home usually, so I don't even want to order them out any more.

    Anyways, I'm gonna get into some sexy bed attire, hope you all have a good weekend!

    bunny...hmmmmmm, hmmmmmm. plugging my old ears.

    just glanced at the post. busy last few days for me. haven't even paid attention to what i have eaten. my new doggie went back to the spca yesterday. she bit one of the grands twice and my mother in law. all different days and unprovoked. i can't have a dog that bites. boy she cost me over $200.

    need to get something to eat, tummy making noises.

    My daughter's birthday went well (for her). I'm still dealing with all the stress from it (separate parties for 4 branches of the family -- MIL, FIL, my mom, my biological dad, plus some) and some celebrations of her birthday that haven't even happened. I'm just sick of dealing and trying to please everyone else. If you can't fit in my schedule -- TOUGH!!! :mad:

    I'm just cranky. Tired. Not eating right. Gaining back weight. Not exercising. Not sleeping well. Nightmares about my relationships. I need a vacation (from life).

    Sorry to complain, I just needed to vent.

    Sorry you're having a tough time of it Lauryn. At least your daughter is having fun with all those parties! Your ex should be in charge of parties with his parents, you should be in charge of parties with yours, that would cut your stress in half!

    Too bad about your pup, Cathy. You were so happy to get him too. But you have to take care of your people family first, before pet family. $200 was a big chunk to have put out so fast!

    Amypyr, you know what you are doing right, so celebrate that. Then, add in the changes that you're hoping to make. First, pick the easiest meal to change and make that one healthy. At our house, the easiest was breakfast, because we all make our own, it's not a sit down family meal like dinner is. I started out just making my breakfast healthy. Then I started making lunches and snacks to take to work, and that made it easier too. Lastly was dinner, and pretty much, everyone in the house eats what I make, but it's also the hardest meal to try and make healthy, because the kids love the flavored pastas and rices. Slowly but surely, I'm phasing those things out and adding in healthier stuff. Hang in there, it'll come.

    Anyways, DH and I went to the mall this morning (got there an hour before stores opened, so we walked around for a bit. Realized District 9 was playing so we went to watch that while waiting for the mall to open. Then, picked up coney dogs for lunch (can only get the good ones downstate, lol, all they have around our area are chili dogs, and it's just not the same). And stopped at Fredricks of Hollywood. I talked DH into buying me 3 (yup 3) sexy outfits! And stockings to go with them too:wink: Luckily 2 of the 3 outfits were on clearance, so the total wasn't quite as outrageous as I thought it would be. Went to Culvers for dinner, and since I had coneys for lunch, I got a salad for dinner. Just a garden fresco salad, so it was about as healthy as I could be. Our shuttle arrives in about 45 minutes to go to the concert.

    Just saw a comercial for Total Blueberry Pomegranite cereal. Go to www.total cereal.com and get a free sample. Gotta love free samples! lol

    Have a good night ladies, driving home tomorrow, so not sure when and if I'll be on. Have a good Monday morning tomorrow

    son was fired from his job. the person who claimed he did some awful things, said he would file charges if he came near his home again. so i guess the company didn't want the trouble and fired him. he can't come back home, so he needs to put on his big boy panties and get himself employed again. even if flipping burgers. i feel for him, he just stresses me out. he is always thinking and talking negitive. that drives me nuts. i don't want to hear the crap. grow up he is 281/2. geeish.

    well, i am going to take a bath and mask and run away in my mind.

    Hi all ... spent the day with my DH road tripping ... when we got home I went to download the pictures I took with my cell phone and couldn't find it ... so I used my DH's cell to call my cell and the lovely young lady that served me frozen yogurt earlier today answered my phone. Well yeah ... THAT'S A 2 HOUR DRIVE FROM HERE!!! So I'll be off on another unplanned road trip tomorrow to pick it up again ... I planned on doing an aqua fit class with an old friend in the morning and then having lunch with her and her twin boys but I had to cancel so I could go and get my phone and then be back in time for the dentist. Life is funny eh? Plans sometimes just go in the toilet and new challenges come along. Oh Well ... that's life. :laugh:

    Hope everyone had a good weekend! Mine was good. My husband and I went to the Iowa State Fair on Friday evening for the Gary Allen/Chuck Wicks concert. We had a BLAST! I didn't get to enjoy the usual margaritas, but it was still fun! Although my feet were SO swollen by the end of the night from all the walking and the humidity! But they were back to normal by Saturday morning! Saturday I did some cleaning around the house and then my sister came over to stay the night as she is going back to college this Wednesday! So we watched some movies that evening and ordered Chinese (bad! :wink: ). Then Sunday we went to see The Ugly Truth which is really funny! I came home and had some ambition to reorganize all my kitchen cabinets! Nesting? We'll see! The plan for tonight is to really deep clean the kitchen (which shouldn't take too long since it's small) and vaccuum. Other tasks for this week...finish organizing in our basement (which was recently re-done) and clean out the free fridge we got in our garage so I can stock up on food for when I have this baby! And then really, I'm all ready! The only other thing is our bathroom...my dad is going to install a exhaust fan and then it needs re-painted and some new shelves. But I can' t really do that on my own, so have to wait until my dad and husband have the time. But I think I will go through all the stuff on those shelves in the meantime and clear out what I can (as it is small also and I could use some more space). Maybe I'll do that tonight also! :happy:

    Well...I better get started on some work. Another Monday! :grumble: Ah well! Have a good morning gals!

    Cathy, I swear, one of these days (when I don't have the kiddo that night), I'm gonna hop in the car, drive the 4 hours to your town, pick you up and take us out for big pitchers of margaritas!!! :laugh: I think you have the right mindset with your son -- put on those big boy panties and grow up! Everyday, I remind myself of that same thing! :smile:

    Kristin, I see Rhiannon on FB occasionally. Saturday (or yesterday?) she was running a 14k, so apparently she is doing well!! :smile: How are you feeling this Monday?



    I am hoping spin class tonight will kick my butt. I am at 162.4 this morning, only a 0.4 gain from Friday :noway: but I want to see a LOSS, so I'm gonna make it happen tonight. :happy:

    Thanks Lauryn! I actually talked to her on FB the other night after I had asked on here. I am feeling pretty good this morning. Tired and sore (always sore anymore) but pretty good. Hoping the whole day is like this. Although it seems I get so tired by the end of the day...and my feet are always killing me! But I don't have too much longer...I can deal!:wink: Good luck in spinning tonight! Can't wait until I can get back to some spin classes!!!! I miss them!:sad:
