Black Team Challenge week 13

With Samantha on vacation I'll throw this weeks challenge out there. My arms are still aching from Marla's challenge. Thanks for kicking my *kitten* lady. For this week I am going to take one of Samantha's challenges from our first round and step it up a notch. Remember Samantha's 50 jumpin jack a day challenge. Well we are much stronger now than we were then. I want 150 a day out of each and every one of you. I can hear the groans from here. You heard me right I said one hundred and friggin' fifty. This is not to replace you normal work out. Consider this a warm up for your swimming, running, biking or whatever your doing. You can do them anywhere. It's portable. Get out your good sports bra's lady and get jumping! Tell the hubby's I said "your welcome."

Hmmm, not sure about this one. I can't walk and sneeze at the same time, jumping jacks have the same effect if you catch my drift....... Babies! It's their fault.0

Repeat 149 more times!!
I found myself saying "I can't" to the trainer, this bothered me.
So now I say "modify please"
I don't feel like a failure and continue working out!!:glasses:
I did 50 tonight.......but did heavy workout tues and thurs with her so today is break day!0 -

Hello Fellow Teammates! I went to the dr. this morning and in 2 1/2 months I have shown a weight loss of 7 pounds but that is better than nothing. I still think that is in big part to you all supporting me! I didn't do to well for a while. But I got back on track pretty good and it seems to be working much better. Great challenge Andrew and so was Marla's last week. I did some crunches and push ups earlier but still haven't hit 50 yet! I suck at the push ups but I can do some jumping jacks!0

Amanda- Goonies never say die. You are part of this team. If you think your not your dead wrong. Stop throwing yourself a pity party and get that black shirt back on. You belong here with us. Pretty sure we have all had our share of failures. The fact that your back proves that you belong here. We missed you.0 -

Yes Welcome Amanda! This team is great and they give the best support and help and advice! By the way, 3 weeks from tomorrow my mom and I are having a joint birthday party at our house and I am hoping to lose a little more weight and look much better by then. Not too sure what I can do in 3 weeks but I know in the past few weeks I have been doing pretty good. I have gotten the best compliments this week and it has made me feel great! So it's time to put this weight loss knowledge into play and do something great! Lori and Tae you both are back on the wagon too so let's kick this up a knotch and do great things this week!! I am backing you and hope you are backing me too! We got this one in the bad ya'll! Jeannie you are doing great with the gym and trainer thing. I wish I had me a trainer too!!! May have to look into that one! Have a great night everyone! Good luck!0

I cant jump due to injuries, so I do it this way:
you bring your arms up like a normal Jumping Jack but instead of jumping you bring your right leg out to the side...........then repeat with the left.......
I did a few mini jacks in the middle. Like 15 like above, then one mini jump...so on. My HR was up past 150!!
It sounds easy but I could only get done 50 last night!! (I called my trainer for a modification!!) I just hate " I cant's" because they make me feel like a failure.
So I am working up to doing 150 of these in a day.0 -

Alrighty. Instead of instantly saying "I can't". I figured I'd try. 150 jumping jacks- real ones- done. That's a lot of jacks Andrew! I did 50. (Ran to the bathroom.) Did another 100 without stopping. Yowzah!
I think exercise has helped with the 'jumping makes me have to pee' issues. I used to feel like I was going to go when I ran too, but now that doesn't even cross my mind.
Have a great Saturday black team! I'm going to spend some time doing planning today- planning my workouts for the week- planning my food for the week.
This morning I was back to the weight I was when we left for our last trip. That's encouraging. I was freaking out that those 4 pounds would haunt me forever. A few days of eating good and walking an hour did miracles. Whew!0 -

Thank you so much Jeannie!! Being on a team with you guys is amazing! You are all truly amazing and a big inspiration to everyone! I am proud to be a part of you all!!! I just want to be like you guys! And you know I may still decide to join a gym and get me a trainer. Back when I had become single I was training with a hot single guy! Of course he isn't now and neither am I but it was fun! But I am happy with doing all this on my own here at home too.0 -

I must confess I didn't fall off the wagon. I put it in park. I just plain got lazy. Once again it wasn't so much what I was eating but the exercising wasn't there. I did get in a good 40 minute walk this morning so this ol' lady's wagon is back in gear.0 -
I am sitting here soaked in sweat, it is dripping everywhere!
Jut got back from a 70 minute walk with my friend and my house in on a cow face steep hill and I decided to try to run up the hill, I almost made it. 450 calories burnt today! :happy:
