It's not about "affording the calories"
It's quality of those calories.
Have been told many times already on this site that you shouldn't deprive yourself of things you like and everything in moderation.. Well, he did note he could afford the calories soo I say why the heck not!!
French fries aren't good for you, no matter if you can afford them calorie wise or not.
But, kudos for keeping it to a small.
