Losing inches, not weight... How do i change this?

Throw out the scale, who cares what number it says if you are losing inches!0

losing inches is much better then losing weight, as the scale only shows a number, the inches lost can be seen by you and everyone else.
And no, you are not doing too much strength. What may be happening is that your muscles are retaining water to protect them and to aid in recovery from the exercise. Ignore the scale and pay attention to how you look and feel and how your cloths fit.

If you are trying to reach a healthy BMI go to your doctor and ask them to break out the calipers. This is a better measure of how healthy you are becoming than any number your scale can tell you.0
