    My husband has some barbells and weights somewhere around here...

    I'm sure there are more qualified folks to comment on this, but I'd say you can't do it at home in its entirety. Stage 1 will require you to do barbell front quats and deadlifts every day, and you pretty quickly move on to really heavy weights (I'm squatting 120lbs after a month). However, you definitely can build up your strength with dumbbells at home.

    Down 13lbs since September, from size 10/12 to size 6. Thanks to some wonderfully inspiring MFP friends, I discovered the New Rules of Lifting for Women and have been lifting heavy for a month now. I still have a long road ahead of me, but bouncing around the serious iron has given me a new confidence, so here I am in a bikini!
