This is very very sad. I have been doing this moving my butt challenge since they began. I seem to have lost my mojo. If anyone finds it could u plz return in back to me. I am in need of some!!!!

    exercise.png

@ Bigmama - your mojo is just down the road a little way. A quick little walk and you'll find it. If you just move your *kitten* for a few minutes it will come back. We're all here to make sure you find it.

I did 3 miles today with 2 miles of HIIT. Trying to improve my speed little by little.

@vhuber, I read this story and couldn't resist sharing it. It’s not really related to fitness but it relates to Butt-e and Montana.

Butte, Montana began life in 1864 as a gold-rush town, but huge deposits of copper were soon discovered on what came to be known as “the richest hill on earth”. Situated more than 5,000 feet above sea level, and riddled with shafts and tunnels, the city boasted that it was a mile deep as well as a mile high. As the tin mines of Cornwall and Ireland went into decline, Gaelic-speakers flocked into the town to work the mines. The census of 1900 shows Butte to have been the most predominantly Irish city in the US, Boston included.

Father Sweeney, a contemporary american priest from Butte learned some Gaelic from his grandparents. On a visit to County Kerry, Ireland he addressed a large lunch gathering, concluding with the traditional Gaelic toast that translates to English as “The goat is on the spit”. Unfortunately his accent wasn’t quite up to it. “The Gaelic for ‘goat’ is only a hair’s breath removed from the word for the male organs,” says father Sweeney. “You can imagine how shocked the good ladies of the parish were to hear this American priest proclaiming, ‘My balls are on fire’. ‘I’ll be dead for years,’ he said, ‘and that’s all they’ll remember me for in Kerry’
dinos, you gave me a good laugh!

It was weight lifting training today... I trained alone, and I check something that I was wondering about. My trainer, when she set up my program, always talked about the weights in pounds. But when I was lifting them, I had some doubts. So I took a good look at them today... they're not in pounds, but in kg!!! No wonder why I didn't remember that 20 pounds was that heavy!! :noway: And when I saw her on Monday, she told me it was to easy, so she added a few pounds to my bicep curls. I thought it was 30 pounds, but it's 30 kg!! That's OK, because that's what I wanted, but still... lifting is as mental as running I guess... lifting training was hard today!!!

2.05 on the elliptical after my very painful weight lifting training.

Since I've joined MFP, this is the only thread that I do follow religiously every month, and I'm always talking about it to my boyfriend! He sometimes have a hard time following me, not knowing if I'm talking about the people at the gym, or you guys!

Thanks YOU Denise & Dinos for this great challenge, month after month!

And I love the people in here... everybody's there for one another, and ready to cheer up someone that is on the down side... humor and seriousness ('cause this last one is also needed once in a while  ) are everywhere in this thread.

    WE ROCK @SS MOVERS!!

Thank you Denise and Dinos for creating this forum. I'm with Speedy, this is the only forum I read everyday, and my husband thinks it's a little crazy how I have to log in as soon as I finish my workout, but this challenge and all the people here have been a huge factor in motivating me to stick with my fitness plan.

Denise, I'm not sure if you know that you in particular have inspired me to try a half marathon. Right after I first joined I saw your pictures of the Disney half and even though I'm like a zillion years older than you I thought I want to do that too. Thanks for inspiring me to attempt something I've always wanted to do. :flowerforyou:

Today I ran 5 miles. Well I mostly ran it. It was pretty warm out and I kind of ran out of gas at the end. What the heck, I said my goal includes running and walking.
