    Because everyone is so open here! When you have all these strangers constantly encouraging you and telling you how hot you look, real life barriers that usually affect open conversation about physical attributes break down. You feel free to make personal comments on other peoples bodies, most of which are positive..and what does that lead to? ;)

    Definitely people are more confident, and it's easier to say what you want to over the internet.

    I am a natural flirt so with the added confidence I feel I more cheerful when I flirt so it probably comes out more serious than sarcastic

    Probably partly an internet thing. Being online, one has that added barrier that makes them more likely to chance the flirtatious behavior.

    I think another thing about MFP in particular... We share some of our more vulnerable aspects on this site... We know that we need help in an area and boldly open up about it on this site... This, in effect, is a shield remover which makes us more likley to share other aspects of our lives with one another.

    "You're Pretty", "You're Hot" or similar commentary, in my opinion, really isn't effective flirting. Anyone can BS their way to a piece in a dive bar with those lines! LOL

    There are some people that may mistake friendliness as "flirting", especially those who may not have much dating experience.

    For the love of God, please stop it. Im busy right now working with orphans who lost their parents (they arent dead they just got lost in a mall) and I cant be distracted by flirting.

    First off ...I am/ we are the greatest generation! I love my old folks but we have done plenty too. However...I do come equipped with a few filthy snakes we can let the geriatrics play with. They'll put a spring in their step.....or walker!
