My scales are always consistent... Always... :S0

Thank- you for the insight. I get so frustrated when I work hard and don't lose. I never considered all of the factors when I step on those scales. The one about water consumption was the one that amazed me. I'm on my way to the kitchen right now to drink a big glass of water!0

Thanks for the reminder. The scale has been known to make or break a day for me despite knowing that weight flucuates.0

"WHY SCALES LIE"? Because they think they can get away with it.

And here I was thinking my gym messes with the scale like Ben Stiller's character on the movie Dodgeball.0

Thank you SO MUCH for this post!! It's easy to get discouraged when the number on the scale isn't what you hoped it would be! NSVs RULE!!!0

Wow--- Its really funny to read this bc I just expressed my frustation at myself for reading the scale everyday. I do 55 minutes of Jillian Michaels' workouts and stay within my calorie goals and apparently this week (because I am weighing everyday-- shame on me!) I am losing nothing.
BUT NOW I get it. Thanks and I am KEEPING oN GOING.0 -

This is great for me just now - I have been consistently loosing just over a lb a week for the last 8 weeks or 10 weeks ...and then suddenly half a pound in 2 weeks...Haha the dreaded plateau. I have had 3 compliments this week and started running 2 weeks ago. I feel great! Obviously I wish the scales felt as good as me, but I know that is a small part (Humph...kick....moan....) Good luck everyone with your lying, cheating bathroom partner. Fickle things! Can't with live them....but certainly I couldn't live without it!! It had better be kinder to me next Friday.....OR ELSE!!!!!0
